Any other symptoms with WPW (wolff-parkinson-white syndrome)?
I found out I have WPW, and I have an appointment for a consultation to have an ablation. Besides the palpations and regular symptoms, do you have any other symptoms? I just wondered if it's also maybe associated with fatigue.I guess I'm hoping having to go through the procedure that maybe it'll cure some other problems I have that may come along with it.Or...if you had an ablation, did you notice anything different in yourself other than the not having the palpatations?I know about SVT.......I've had it for 15 years. I asked about other symptoms. I wish if you didn't have an answer you wouldn't point grub.
Does a bad diet make the heart worse when you have Wolff Parkinson white syndrome?
Like eating junk food, and drinking soda, NOT EVERYDAY but like most teenagers do.My friends doctor recocmended she stop eating suger, any sodas or juices and meat. I thought that was crazy since the syndrome is an electrical current path in your heart which has ntohing to do with unhealthy eating habits
Wolff parkinson white syndrome?
My fiance was diagnosed with Wolf parkinson white syndrome. Can anyone give me some help in understanding this? The doctor sent us home with 4 pages of information, but mostly diagrams that are a little over my head ha ha. I understand this is a serious heart condition and I would also like to know of some people who have gone through this and what did they do? We have an option of surgery or medication. My fiance would like to have the surgery so we can " forget about this and move on." but I'm scared of the risks with medication or Surgery as well as the risks of doing nothing at all. please help, we are confused and alone I have never heard of this before now, and I'm in the medical field

Heart question, wolff-parkinson-white syndrome?
I'm going to get right down to the point on this one. I am hoping that there is somebody out there that knows what they are talking about. My girlfriend has been diagnosed with wps syndrome. She has it, her brother has it, and her grandmother has it. I am somewhat worrysome however. She gets very bad tachycardias, and she gets them quite often. Sometimes they are bad enough that they drop her to the ground as soon as she starts having one. She has come very close to and has passed out on several occassions from the extreme nature of the tachycardias. I don't know much about this condition, but I know that, from what i have read about it, it isn't normal for her to be having so many of these tachycardias and to such an extreme extent. I am worried that this condition could be deadly in her case, and I am even questioning whether the condiiton she has is wpw or not. Maybe it could be some other electrical disorder of the heart caused by something other than wpw?
Medicine for people with Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome?
I am 14 years old and I suffer from wolff parkinson white syndrome also known as WPW I don't take medication and I haven't had the surgery. I have been living with this my whole life, and have known I have had it since I was about three years old. I can't do sports or be very very activity without worrying about my heart " going out" we call it which it means without me having an episode of fast heartbeat or worrying about having one My older sister is a star in sports. She is a pro at soccer, and I have wanted to play soccer my whole life but can't because of this. I can run very, very fast but only for about a full minute without stopping. I can keep my episodes under control so that's why my mom said I don't take medicine for it. I also have cerebral palsy in the right side of my body but a minor, minor case of it and a lazy eye. But cannot get the surgery done to fix my heart because of my brain problems. my mom said that the medication is only for people who have episodes almost every day but i can keep mine under control so i don't need it. I really want to fix this problem as much as I can and maybe be able to play on a soccer team one day. Can I take this medication even if I don't have episodes that often? I have about 4 6 episodes a year, sometimes less I feel like this will be a very big problem when I get older if I don't fix it as best as i can, I couldn't rush, have children, run, have a enjoyable sex life or anything when im older. would I be a good person to be put on the medicine?oh and I don't do gym because of this and if I count for the medication what would I be taking, name, what it does, side effects, even maybe a link? thanks ten points
