Where can i get brochures or pamphlets on trigeminal neuralgia?
at school we're going a health fair, and i choose to do my project on trigeminal neuralgia. One of the requirments that we need it some visualls and i think having a munch of pamphlets or brochures would be the best way for me to get that requirment filled. The only problem is, isi that i have no idea where request that sort of thing. is there a web site maybe?

When my trigeminal neuralgia started, i got a feeling like there were bubbles in a vein below my collar bone?
that's the first time i got trigeminal neuralgia. it lasted 3.5 weeks and then went away for 2 weeks. now it's come back the last 3 days, and i'm having the same sensations of bubbles running through a vein about an inch below the center of my right collar bone. the exact same place and sensation as before.i am waiting on a very slow process to have my catscan they ran of my face looked at to see what's up with the nerve in my face. should i be concerned about this bubble sensation below my collar bone? my next doctor appointment is not until march 17th. it's the earliest i could get. i'm 24 and female. have unexplained tachycardia. we don't know what's causing this trigeminal neuralgia, but it really hurts have not been placed on any nerve medications or anything similar, not until someone gets to look at my catscan.

What is the best medicine for trigeminal neuralgia?
I have had tn trigeminal neuralgia for about 2 years now, my usual episodes last for hours on end not just a short little burst. my tn is from my hairline down to my cheek bone on the right side of my face. i first got it for a period of 8 months it was hell and was really sore the worst pain ever. During this period i tried tegretol, amitriptyline, gabapentin, cocodamol, paracetamol, dihydromol and tegretol. i tried everything that was going and nothing was working. It disappeared for about a month maybe just abit longer then it came back with a vengeance it was back twice as bad, when its at the worst i need to sit in a dark room and basically scream because its that sore. its never went away after that and i have been through all the medications that i listed above and was also given medicated plasters to put over my face, however i cant touch my face and i cant have anything touching my face because even though the plasters had a local anesthetic in them it made the pain come on and was far worse At this minute in time im in complete agony and ive tried taking the gabapentin and the dyhydromol again and it doesn't do anything another thing is the pain is behind my eye and it makes my eye really blood shot and really sore i cant take the pain it feels as if i need to rip my eye out and then rip the nerve out The pain also goes down the right side of my nose which is a weird pain and is agony can anyone help me i need some advice on what will work or any suggestions?i really dont like the thought of surgery not that im scared just i dont want a massive scar on my head and i dont like the idea of someone opening my head up, i think i would do the surgery as a last resort, there has to be some other sort of pain killer or drug that works there has to be at one point one of my doctors told me not to stick by the guidelines and take over the perscribed dose and what the max was, that didnt even work

TMJD pain with trigeminal neuralgia.?
I've had very severe pain and chronic headaches since i was 4. I discovered i have TMJD about 2 years ago. and i am now 18. Ive been going to physical therapy for around 2 years. I have trigger points in the back of my head where the skull and the neck connect. Basically pressing on them causes me chronic sharp shooting pains that are unbearable. It then causes shooting pain to either of my eyes, my temples, my jaw, my cheek, or on the scalp. It feels like electrical shocks coming and going or like someone is stabbing me with a knife. I heard that this can be Trigeminal neuralgia caused by my TMJ disorder? Is that true and could it be Trigeminal neuralgia?
