How to regain balance after a traumatic brain injury (concussion)?
I got a really bad concussion in early November and I'm a competitive tumbler and trampolinist but I've noticed since I started back up the first week of January my balance is bad and really affecting my trampoline and double mini routines. How can I improve my balance? Should I call my concussion doctor to see if he has any tips? I'm scared to because I don't want him to sit me out again. Is there physical therapy for this?

Is acquired brain injury and traumatic brain injury the same thing?
i am doing a project on acquired brain injury, but whenever i google it i get results to traumatic brain injury... i was wondering if tbi is a type of abi.i understand that tbi is from an external force, like bumping your head.i also understand that abi is caused by things like hypoxia, strokes and ischemia.but when i look on wikipedia tbi is mentioned in the abi category.i cannot make a mistake on this or i lose huge marks in my class. 20 % of my final mark in chronic health care is on this one project

I suffered a traumatic brain injury a few years ago and lost everything in the year after it.?
my closest friends, my fiance, my family couldn't handle me but understand me now but I am so afraid of losing my new friends that I tell everyone that I am brain damaged. People think I talk about it too much but I am just afraid that they will get mad at me when I say something silly or get angry, its all out of my control. I try to work on it but it is hard. I feel like I have no really good friends now, I've lost them all. What do I do. Will I ever meet someone to share my life again

How does traumatic brain injury affect a man's sex life?

Longevity after a traumatic brain injury?
My sister survived a brain aneurysm some time ago. A shunt was implanted and the aneurysm was surgically repaired. She did suffer brain damage in the process including a complete loss of short term memory, and poor executive function and it is pretty obvious she lost a few IQ points too. Long story short, she is a different person than she once was. Still the one question I can't seem to get answered is if it is reasonable to expect her to live as long as she ever was going to live before the brain injury, or if it is more common that brain injured people die at a younger age?

I suffered a traumatic brain injury 3 years ago, some friends picked fights or just ignored me and my fiance?
left me. I'm coming to terms with all this and I have made new friends since but when I go home to my home town my old friends seem to expect me to be the same but they have never really helped me much. Although they were good initially. I get angry and have had some arguments but everyone seems to blame me for pushing them away. We don't have much in common so I don't really care but I hate them to blame me, Am I childish to want them to understand that I have problems, could do with help and that they are mad at me really because they cannot handle what became of me after my injury

I've suffered a traumatic brain injury some years ago. I say stupid thoughtless things all the time?
and it's getting embarrassing. No one hates me for it they just laugh or politely ignore me and when I am with a new group, people I don't know so well, I just think they must think I am so weird. I don't want to be telling everyone that I hit my head and technically I am brain damaged but how else do I tell people I don't mean to be so rude or blunt at timesI've already lost most of my old friends but the new ones who are closer know what happened but I'm afraid of scaring away new ones and guys I might like

If a person with traumatic brain injury is combattive and has paralysis what would a neuropsychiatrist do?
If a person with traumatic brain injury is combattive and is making delusional statements and has paralysis what would a neuropsychiatrist do to help this patient?Obviously since this patient is displaying combattive behavior and making delusional statements he needs a psychiatrist, but because this patient is suffering from some degree of paralysis he would need a neurologist. So if I were a neuropsychiatrist would I be qualified to treat both his psychiatric problem of combattive behavior and delusional statements, as well as his physical problem of paralysis due to brain damage?
