Anyone have tinnitis that sounds more like it is in your brain instead of your ears?
If I think about it, or if it is quiet, I can hear a constant ring in my head....not my ears though, like so many people describe tinnitis to do. It is very hard to explain. It is a constant tone, kinda high pitched, almost like when you take one of those hearing tests when they play the tone that is almost out of our hearing range. I guess it is a high frequency but not a high tone, if that even makes sense. The only thing I know is that it is not in my ears, more like right in the center of my brain. I have panic disorder to boot, so I get to thinking I may have a tumor, or what if this gets increasingly louder to the point I can't stand it and want to die.
Can somebody help me how to stop tinnitis .?

Theres a ringing in one of my ears and its been for a while now. Before i got it i had been listening to loud music... So i searched it and found out i got tinnitis. But could it just be an ear infection or something else? I havent seen a doctor and im only 12. If it is tinnitis how do i cure it?? Its really annoying.If it is just an ear infection or something what do i do?So it is possible it will still go away? Is it ok if i listen to music without headphones or listen to music with headphones at very low volume?

I have pulsatile tinnitis in my left ear and two lumps just behind that ear and now hearing loss?!?
About 6 months ago, I started having constant wooshing sound in my left ear, worse when laying in bed, but never going away. After a couple of weeks I realized it was in beat with my heart. Some times I can even feel it pulsing through that side. Then, two nickel sized lumps showed up right behind the same ear. I don't have a job, therefore no money to ask a doctor, so I've just lived with it. This morning I woke up and I have no hearing in that ear except the heartbeat. It feels more like it's clogged but it's not wax. I'm pretty scared.
