I have subacute thyroiditis...the feeling in my throat is driving me crazy?
I was diagnosed with subacute thyroiditis recently. Its caused many weird symptoms. I am not on a thyroid medication, yet but my Endo. is monitoring my levels.The past few days, I have an annoying, sometimes slightly painful feeling in my throat. It feels like there is something stuck in there and its hard to swallow. I know this is a symptom of the thyroiditis but its driving me crazy. Is there anything I can do??? I know ibuprofen can help with pain but its the most annoying feeling ever Thanks

I was diagnosed with subacute thyroiditis De Quervain's but my blood work also shows that I am positive for Hashimoto's. I am wondering how that is possible if I am in the hyper stage? I know subacute thyroiditis is supposed to resolve itself but does the Hashis give me a greater risk of going through the hypo stage and becoming permanent?
