Does anybody know of a non-profit org. that could help me get a strangulated hernia fixed before I die ?
I've always been a strong man, but in recent days my symtoms have been getting worse. I need info to to a doctor at a charity hospital my insurance ran out who will operate on me. without furthur adeu.....I am a KatrinA SURVIVOR

i get chest pain all the time. been ER nearly 50 times alwasy say heart is ok, but i was at hopsital otgher night they said chest x ray showing possible hiatus herniai habve had a problem with my stomach for months and months, i read about starngulated hernias that there an emergency, one symtom was things getting stuck in chest, i fear thats me as i daily have that feeling of air coming up from stomach like its need to burp its terrible, am i just being anxious?????????

Okay, around 12PM yesterday my mother began to have extreme pains in het abdomen area and in her hernia. She vomited three times, and was like that until 10 that night, when the pain gradually began to decrease. Around 2AM that night, she began having the same sharp pain but no vomiting. The pain eventually reduced and she went back to sleep. She's been having some pain today too, but not as serious as yesterday. Her hernia has protuded since yesterday, and doesn't seen to go back in like it usually does. Can someone please tell me what this could mean? Has this happened to any of you or anyone you know? Please answer, TY.

Signs of a strangulated hernia?
My friend is big. Doctors wont operate because of his weight the 4 hernias will come back. He has had them for a few years now and in that time has lost weight.He is also on a weight for insurance approval for gastric bypass at which time they will fix the hernias as well. However they recently started making this loud noise like hunger only the whole room can hear it. He also said it feels like they have charlie horses in them just today . Is this a sign of strangulation? please help while we wait 4 the doc to call back He wont go to the er and i think he needs to.

How common is a strangulated hernia?
Ive had an umbilical hernia for about 10 months now, and the doctor has told me that its very small and I dont need surgery at this stage. I have been avoiding heavy lifiting and trying to lose weight, but Im afraid of getting a strangulated hernia. Its very small, but I have severe anxiety and constantly worry about it. Last time I saw the doctor a few weeks ago he said its still very small and not to be too concerned. Am I just freaking out? I had a friend who had a hernia for 6 years before he had it operated on, certainly for me having it less than a year, I shouldnt have a strangulated hernia, right? Please someone offer me advice.

well i have a hernia and i DONT want it to get strangulated or anything else because i am TERRIFIED of hospitals can anyone give me any tip's on how NOT to get a strangulated hernia, or can someone tell me what causes it to get strangulated so as i can avoid it ????
