Does mild scoliosis cause back pain?
I have 12 degree it's expected to get worse though since I'm 13 and small ugh scoliosis, and my back hurts whenever I sit or stand up too quickly. Is this normal for mild scoliosis or is it something else? I also broke my tailbone a while ago, but this seems to be in my back, not my butt.
Do I have scoliosis or just bad posture?
I recently picked up a job as part of the remodeling crew at a local walmart. It requires lots of heavy lifting and constantly moving around for 8 hours straight. I'm only 19 and I'm kinda a laid back gamer geek person and I'm used to sitting around most my life and not moving much besides going to the gym so often. This is only my second job and my first job was nothing but sitting around. When I stand for long periods of time my back starts hurting a bit and it feels better when I sit down or bend over in front of me for stretch. Basically when I stand straight for hours, my back starts hurting. Could this be symptoms of scoliosis or is this just bad posture? People have told me that I've always been a sloucher, and I have been most my life. You think it's because my spine isn't used to staying straight for long periods of time like that or what?
Which surgery is more painful/serious; scoliosis surgery or acl tear surgery?
I was just curious because my friend and I were discussing which one was worse since she has had surgery on her acl and I have had surgery on my back for scoliosis.

I have scoliosis? atlas orthogonist ?
I'm 14 years old turning 15 in 2 months and I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 13. I don't do any sports, btw. I had a 22 and 23 i think? degree curve. My doctor said I didn't need to do anything. After checking frequently it didn't change that much but then when I went back 8 months later in the summer one had gone up to 30 degrees and the other 27. One of the bones on my back is sticking out more I look like I have a hunchback and my waist is uneven. I'm going again in 3 months but I'm afraid to see how badly it has gotten, if it did get any worse at all. Is there any way I can help prevent it from getting worse? I know bracing and surgery are an option but my doctor said that bracing is useless at this point. I also heard that theres atlas orthogonist treatment, but I've never heard of it and I'm not sure what that does.
Curved back. Is it scoliosis?
Okay well when I stand up straight, my back is curved. I have no idea at what angle because I dont know how to measure that for a back. Anyway my back is straight when I suck in my stomach. It's not VERY curved, just a little. Is this scoliosis? How can I measure it? At what degree would it be considered scoliosis? How do I help it do I need to see a doctor? Does it hurt? Thank you for reading and sorry for all of the questions. If you say it's not then you don't have to answer the other questions besides what measure. Thank you for reading Have a nice day
What happens at a scoliosis surgery pre op?
Do you get an xray taken? I've only ever had one xray at 45 degrees when they decided to have the surgery.. So I'm wondering if they will take another because maybe it got better or something over the last few months and I won't need itAnd what else do they do? Will I have blood taken? Thanks
Can I find out the degree of my scoliosis curve?
I'm 14 years old and I've lately found out I have idiopathic adolescent scoliosis. I have an 'S' curve. I am seeing a specialist to have x rays and to see what will happen next, but I'm not seeing them for another month. I really can't stand the wait of not knowing the degree of my curves, so I would like to know if there is anyway in working out the degree of my curves?
Playing football with scoliosis?
Okay, to start off I have a 35 degree bend. I wear a full day brace but I've been told I can take it off to play sports. I really want to be a wide receiver playing football, but would it be safe with my back? Thanks.

How do I measure my scoliosis curve without an x-ray?
Scoliosis 60 degrees?
I've been battling scoliosis for two years now. When I first noticed I had it, I was 13 and I hadn't gotten my period yet. My sister had mild scoliosis already and my mom had already researched all the conventional methods so we decided to try alternative. My mom took me to a chiropractor who worked with CLEAR Institutes and my curve measured 50 degrees. I did a six week intensive every day for three to four hours doing spinal excercises and work outs. I didnt want to brace, and it was fine because even though I was growing, my grueling excercises were halting my scoliosis. It went down to 45 degrees and then I stopped because of family emergencies. When I started up again I had already gone through a huge growth spurt and my curve was getting worse. We battled it and battled it, but by the time I was 15 I was at 60 degrees. I was devastated because that's when conventional doctors say you have to get surgery. I don't want to get surgery I'm a dancer and I can't just stop and jam a rod up my back. But so many people have had okay results that I can't help but wonder if I should actually consider that.
How to decrease chances from getting Scoliosis?
My grandaughter has had her scoliosis test at school yesterday, and they said her scoliosis was a mild case. No scoliosis runs in the family, but if her scoliosis gets worse, how can she decrease her chances of it getting worse? She is 12 years old, and 85 lbs.
Scoliosis pain, help?
I'm 17, female, and have scoliosis. My back hurts pretty often and sometimes to where I can't even sit right or sit up at all. I take Advil when it gets too bad, but are there any exercises or activities or anything that may reduce or eliminate my back pain?Thank you in advance, and God bless.
