Scleritis
scleritis Information
Anyone ever had scleritis?
Been diagnosed with an eye condition called scleritis. Wondering if any one else had it and A. how painful did it get? B.How much vision did u lose? and C. How long did it last? Thanks
Does it sound like I have glaucoma and/or scleritis?
i have nystagmus dancing eyes . ive had that my entire life. in the last year, i have noticed differences in my vision. first thing i noticed, was that i felt like i could see better out of my right eye than my left. it felt like my left was saw darker and less clear. then a few months later, i was getting super sensitive to light. normal sunglasses didnt help enough. then i noticed i was really blind in the dark. also, i wear contacts. for months now, it has been torture trying to read anything with my contacts in. my eye doctor tried to help that by changing my prescription and switching me to acuvue but it didnt help at all. what happens when i read with contacts in is my left eye will go super cross eyed. and i can only read out of my right eye, and i have to get super close like as close as soomeone with like 20 200 acuity. but my acuity, last i knew, is much better than that. the cross eyed thing started happening even when i wasnt reading too. i now notice really blurry peripheral vision i also think i dont have some peripheral , its really, really blurry at night. just in the last week, i have noticed every time i look at a light, i get blind spots for a bit. today, i noticed a gray spot in my left eye. i looked it up and i found scleritis is the thinning of the sclera. and it causes u to have some gray in the white part of your eye or eyes. i have been looking at different eye conditions for a while. i havent found that much but the ones that stood out to me were retinitis pigmentosa, glaucoma, and just found scleritis.could it be one or some of those?what do i have???i am going to an opthamologist next week but i want to go with some ideas.
Anyone know of a connection between food allergies and scleritis?
Can a person with scleritis and uveitis wear contact lenses?
In the last 2 years I have had bouts with scleritis and uveitis in my left eye.One time the doc told me I could wear contacts when I wasn't experiencing a flare up of either condition.Six weeks later he says that he never said that and I can't wear lenses. I'm going for a second opinion Friday.I'm just curious if anyone has experience with this? Thanks
Has anyone heard of a person who has scleritis also having other auto immune problems.?
Problems including inflamation in other areas of the body, ie..face, back, hands, etc. causing pain. I have been placed on Methotrexate and am having quite a few side effects. Has anyone had any luck other than prednisone to help with the inflamation which causes the pain.
