Is there anyone else out there who suffers from bulging/ruptured discs and sciatica pain?
I'm 21 years old and I am currently suffering from 4 bulging discs in my lower spine, one is irritating 2 spinal nerves 2 are just bulging and the bottom one is bulging through and squashing my spinal cord... This causes Me to have severe sciatica pain and horrible lower back pain, especially in cold weather. It comes and goes but when it comes it's always unbearable, I'm a stay at home mum with an 11 month old so its not always easy chaysing the little guy. Ive seen a spinal surgeon to try get this fixed but he suggested a " nerve root block" before surgery... I'm still thinking about it... I HATE being so young and having to suffer with this, so I'm asking, what are your tips and tricks to help relieve your pain and what medications do u find that help? Panadeine forte does good for me but only takes the pain away for about half hour then leaves me " high" for several hours.. So i can't Take that often with my son in my care, I usually wait until my partner is home. I would love to hear your stories and remedies. Thankyou

Is this a symptom of sciatica?
I had this like last year, with back pain. Whenever I sat down I had a weird pain running down my bum to my leg. I had to stand up. And most times when I walked. I also had back pain, in the middle. The doctors found nothing wrong with me, and gave me 8 500 of co codamol. It didn't work, so I took some of my parents' who had 30 500. And it took the pain away. But along with all this pain and suffering I had a painful shoulder, I ruled out frozen shoulder as I could moved my arm. And my dad had it. I thought I may have tendinitis. The back pain went away for a few months, and then when I was washing my hair, bending over the bath. A sharp pain, like being punched in the back came and I couldn't stand upright. What do you think I may had?
Can sciatica cause sever knee pain?
About four months ago I was diagnosed with sciatica which is causing sever pain in the left leg. 2 weeks ago I had a steroid injection and no relief what so ever. The most severe pain is right behind my left knee. It's to the point where I can't walk without horrible pain. Some days I almost fall the pain is so bad and I can't put any weight on my left leg. Is this pain part of sciatica?
I have been having trouble with 3 slipped discs and sciatica for nearly 7 months now.?
I am awaiting surgery on L5 S1, however the pain has now started to recede and is about 20 25 % of the original pain. My question is, Do I continue with the operation or put it on hold and hope my symptoms continue to improve naturally? My main concern is that I cancel the operation only for my symptoms to worsen again and then find I have to start from scratch again regarding treatment. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Is it bad that I have sciatica?
I just turned 17 and got diagnosed with sciatica in january. I have had lower back pains after physical activity off and on since I was 15. I couldn't play sports this year because of it and it has gotten somewhat better but not even close to 100 % better. I was going to the chiropractor when it was really bad, now I just stretch good and let my dad crack my back and I just ordered an electrostimulator to help. Am I too young to be having back problems now, or is it common? I had a good chance at playing college soccer but now that I can't play this year i'm not too sure. Will it go away?
I previously was diagnosed with sciatica i am now years later suffering from numbness on left side.?
Was worse limited mobility
Do people go to hospital for sciatica?
Please! How do I get rid of sciatica?
I messed up terribly with my husband, and now he's thinking of leaving me. No, not cheating, but long story. I guess the stress struck up my sciatica, and I'm in really bad pain. I tried pills, but that didn't work. I've got ice on my low back right now. What else can I do? I can't ask him to take me to the hospital he's way mad at me. This is the worst time it could flare up. Please tell me what I can do to get this pain away for now?
Would my nose tingling be connected to the fact I have a large prolapsed disc in my lower spine & sciatica?
The prolapsed disc is said to be compressing & obliterating the exit nerve root.

Nausea fatigue sciatica and one day periods - menopause?
Hi my last 'normal' period was almost 4 months ago. Since then suddenly they became very light and lasting only 1 2 days and absolutely no pain like there was before. I have had 3 of these strange period so far in a row. I am also very tired, sleep 20 hours a day sometimes, feel sick afer I eat, and have spells of back pain and sciatica which normally comes with the bleeding. This month it is so bad I can't walk, I have pins and needles in my feet.My light bleeding stopped a week ago and the pain and sicknes is increasing if anything. Also I am getting regular headaches when I hardly ever normally get them. I am 46 and all this has very suddenly come on, one month I was fine, the next I wasn't. The first thing my doctor did was do a pregnancy urine test, negative, then said to monitor my periods and come back in 6 months, next visit said I had pulled a muscle and gave me some Ibuprofren gel, and next visit did another pregnancy test, and when negative again, said I had sciatica. Next visit when sciatica was unbearable put me on anti inflammatories and booked me in for MRI. Still feeling sick every day, very bad hip pain, still can't feel my foot, and headaches and now also sinus trouble are constantly with me. Am I menopausal, can this really come on so quickly? Are North American women any different to any other women????
