I have pyelonephritis and am vomitting loads!?
Hi I saw my GP on monday and she tested my urine and did some bloods, had results today and I have pyelonephritis. She has prescribed me ciprofloxacin. I have literally vomitted so, so much since i've been feeling ill, I still feel awful and have a lot of pain in my kidneys lower abdomen. Shall I just go back to the Gp about the pain and vomitting? Help please Im feeling so miserable.

I have a few UTI's in the last five years and every time I've been able to treat it with a home remedy... This is the first one I've have in over a year and it didn't go away with my home remedy. How soon can a person eat after acute pyelonephritis?
All three attacks in the past have come on after a meal. It felt like a typical kidney infection coming on, except whereas in the past, food would make it feel better this time a meal even as innocent as eggs caused an acute case of pyelonephritis the shivering and high fever . That was days ago and everything was looking great but something caused the pain in the back to come back this morning. Lots of water all day long and medication and pain is either gone or practically gone. Starving and weak but don't want to eat and cause another attack like what happened earlier this week. Is it too soon to eat?

Chronic pyelonephritis affected left kidney?
Recently my mother aged 52 affected with the above problem. The doctor urologist advised an operation to remove the left kidney, since it may spread to the R.kidney too. The Radiography and other tests are conducted and it shows R.kidney is normal is size and contribution is 44.1 %. I would like to know is this sufficient for her life time. Will she able to live a normal life without dialysis by following the proper medications. Please clarify me. Thank you
