Preeclampsia
preeclampsia Information
I found out today that i have preeclampsia?
I'm a little terrified, to say the least. Tomorrow I'm having an ultrasound and getting my blood results back. If my blood pressure is still high I'll be induced right away. I didn't think about this untill after my appointment today however both sides of my family have had still births. I didn't think about it because it's an extremely sensitive subject. My aunt goes every year on her lost sons grave and puts flowers on his birthday. I don't want that to be me, our baby was a blessing that took many months of trying. We thought it couldn't happen and now our little angle might not make it ' Does anyone know if my chances of losing my baby are higher because I have family history of still births on both parents sides?

Can my preeclampsia reoccur after delivery? HELP PLEASE!?
I had preeclampsia with my first pregnancy and delivered about a week ago, 6 weeks early. I had excess protein in my urine and high blood pressure. I never experienced the abdominal pain, headache, or blurry vision. They sent me home from the hospital on high blood pressure medication because it wasn't going down on it's own. I'm just wondering if it's possible that my symptoms could come back? or the symptoms I never developed could occur even though I have delivered? Or am I in the recovery period? HELP PLEASE

Bad swelling but not preeclampsia?? Help!?
I am 37 weeks pregnant and for the last month my ankles and feet started swelling up. Its gotten so bad. My ankles will go down after a night of sleep but my feet stay swollen. Now it only takes about an hour after I wake up for my feet ankles to look like softballs. I went to the doctor and my blood pressure was still in the normal range but high for me. I've had alot of small headaches but no protein in my urine lately. I few weeks ago I did have traces though. I have been eating healthy and drinking alot of fluids. My feet are hurting so bad now and I stay off them most of the day. Its not just mild swelling, it looks really gross and now its getting worse on my left leg than the right. Anybody else ever have this??

Magnesium Sulfate for preeclampsia, are there long term side effects?
I developed severe preeclampsia and was delivered via c section at 35 weeks. When admitted to the hospital I was given an IV drip of Magnesium Sulfate due to such high blood pressure. I was told this was administered to prevent me from developing 'Eclampsia' and possibly going into seizures. However I did experience severe chest pain, abnormal EKGs and blurred vision while in the hospital before the delivery .I am 6 months post pregnancy now and I am concerned about any long term effects to my health or my daughter as she was In Utero during the administering of this?

Preeclampsia at 29 weeks...?
Right now I'm 29 weeks almost 30.... at my last doctor visit maybe a week ago they said my bp was starting to get a little high it was 122 86 and it really freaked me out.....I have to go have it checked again next wednesday...but since then i've been watching my salt intake...i try to get as little as possible. No caffeine and have been limiting my daily work such as cleaning and thing like that, but I was wondering does bp that has started to rise ever stop rising during pregnancy especially if you watch your diet ? Im only 30 weeks and i have 10 weeks left...is their a chance my blood pressure could just stabilize if i watch my diet? Of course, im going to talk to my doc. when i go next time, but i just needed some advice in the meantime....Also, can you still have a vaginal birth if you're diagnosed with preeclampsia?
