a frend of mine was not shure about pneumothorax , so thought i would ask,She is 31 yrs old and had a 30 % spontaneous pneumothorax Even after a few months gone by she is still in some pain and anxiety Even though she trys and works still with the pain would she be entitled to claim anythink in order to help so she could reduce her hours a little, any thoughts on this would be greatfull ,

I've recently had a spontaneous pneumothorax about a week and a half ago. I did all of my treatment and all the doctors that I went to during my situation said that my lung is back in its spot and working perfectly fine. But lately I've been just sitting down and watching T.V. and I just have minor random soreness in my mid back and on my side the side of my body where the pneumothorax happened . I have no soreness when I breath and no pain when I breath. So I was just wondering if that was normal? I've also been doing a lot lately like dribbling and shooting a basketball and carrying more that I should be. Could that be why? Please help thank you
Chest xray shows no hiral masses, no focal, effusion or pneumothorax noted, however?
ovoid density seen lateral to the left heart border most likely representing prominent vessel...a repeat to be done using nipple markers...what does this mean?
Pneumotrophin used to treat spontaneous pneumothorax?
I was just wondering if pneumotrophin had ever been used to treat a pneumothorax. Have there been any tests for it? By which I mean, after normal treatment of the tube in the chest to drain the excess air and fluid and whatnot, has it been tried to heal the spot that tore?
Has any patient of pneumothorax treated only with oxygen( i.e no chest tube or any kind of surgery)?
How many weeks should I stop going to the gym if I have been diagnosed with a collapsed lung/pneumothorax.?
I was diagnosed with pneumothorax a week ago. I had a sharp pain in my chest when I was breathing so I went to the hospital and after some analyses I was diagnosed with pneumothorax. No tube was inserted to release the air no special treatment etc.... The pain went away the second day, and I had no problems afterwards. So the question is ? How many weeks should I rest ? I want to go to the GYM ? How many weeks days should I still wait without going ?

Are these symptoms of small pneumothorax?
Hi everyone, I have had spontaneous pneumothorax two months ago. Yesterday I went to a concert and I was having only my T shirt on, while the temperature was 15 Celcius outside. When the concert was over, I ran towards my car then when I arrived home I noticed that I am having shortness of breath. I do not cough at all, but sometimes I get sharp pain. If I would compare the pneumothorax I had before with the one I have right now, then certainly the first one was much worse. On my last chest X ray I done before the concert , I had a very small pneumothorax, and doc told me that it will pass within 2 days.Do I need to get the chest tube inserted again, or it will pass away by itself?
Primary pneumothorax?
I'm 16 and for about 6 months now I've had a shortness of breath and the feeling like I can't breathe deep enough, It isn't too bad and comes mainly when I think about it. I went to the doctor and he listened to my chest and said there was nothing wrong with me, it's psycological and could be stress related. My mind was put at rest. In the last month I have had this shortness if breath back put it down to stress again due to exams however within the hour I've had a chest pain on my right when I breathe in deeply. I looked this up and saw the words primary pneumothorax, and I'm now scared. It really could be me overworring because the pain isn't that bad and it's not always there when I breath in, I just would like another opinion. Thank you in advance
Small Pneumothorax Question?
I recently had spontaneous small pneumothorax. They put a heimlich tube, which didn t take out the air, so the Dr took out the air manually. After they took out the tube I later was having the same symptoms, so I went back to the hospital and they took an x ray and everything looked fine. They told me I now had Bronchitis. My question is will I ever feel normal again and is this going affect my daily actives like running or playing sports. If yes I would love some advice. Thanks Ps I m 21 and I do not smoke.
Pneumothorax? Help me someone, please!?
My boyfriend is in the hospital right now.. He had pectus excavatum which is a big depression in your chest and had the nuss procedure to correct the deformity. He had this surgery November 8th, and Saturday will make two weeks he has been in the hospital due to pneumothorax lungs collapsed . Both lungs had, and they done chest tubes, and the left lung corrected itself, yet the right one was still having trouble. They went in there and scraped the sides of his chest cavity to make his lungs expand, and the took whats called a " bleb" off his lung. Now, they have took him off suction for the chest tubes 3 different times, and done x rays to see if the right lung has improved, yet it is sill bad and leaking. What can they do after chest tubes dont work for so long? & does this have anything to do with him possibly having Marfan Syndrome? Someone please help me, I'm very depressed & worried.Thanks so much, & God Bless You
