Along my inner thigh i have multiple red lines. it could be phlebitis but i only have one symptom: red lines?
the area is not warm or tender
Will phlebitis ever go away?
Had for 3 4 weeks now, arm still hurts if I extend it fully like to reach or grab for something. Will it ever go completely away?
What is causing my phlebitis in left arm...i havehad no IV...no trauma...im not obese or any health problems?
left arm suddenly popped up a vein and pain....went away still slight skin discoloration...2 days later a bruise popped up on a vein same arm,,,,slight swelling...pretty much all gone now.......could i have slept wrong onit...or stayed on computer too long? HelpYes i have dr appt...but im just wanting help for now...arm is pretty much normal now
Irrationally worried about superficial phlebitis?
I have been repeatedly told that there is no danger of the clots that have formed in my vericose veins travelling to my heart or lungs. I've had an ultrasound done on my leg to rule out deep vein thrombosis but I can't stop worrying. Has anyone had anything horrible happen as a result of superficial phlebitis?
How to avoid phlebitis on the legs???
Its a problem for the women.......I'm only 21 and I have phlebitis on my legs but when i'm doing exercises, activities, bycicling and playing volleyball after a while are gone away.....But I cant do everyday gumnastic.....somebody please tell me what to do for the phlebitis?????are not so bad but I dont feel very comfortable at the beach.......

Black tar in the 1970's for the treatment of phlebitis?
It is for my mother who is suffering chronically from phlebitis and she had this black tar that when applied then dressed gave her great relief. Does anyone know either the name or and where to but it from in the UK. Thankyou in advance.oop sorry made a mistake .......should read buy not but.

Questions about phlebitis treatment.?
I have some bulging veins under left knee and left inner thigh. They havn't really bothered me until recently when I decided to try and tan my white legs before summer vacation. They became red just around the veins and became so tender to the touch. I have had heat in my lower knee veins for at least a couple of years know but never in my thigh. It's been about 3 days now and the redness has faded but the tenderness remains. What causes phlebitis and can the sun cause it?I don't have to go to by Gp to see a specialist but I don't know if maybe my GP can treat this. I brought up my veins before to my GP and my Gyno each said nothing to worry about. Also my insurance considersveins to be cosmetic, speaking on your own experience,did your insurance company pay for phlebitis treatment?Sorry this is long, thanks in advance for your answers
Phlebitis in stomach?
I suffer with phlebitis every few months.My latest occurance as now lasted 25 days,i have had creams,a weeks course of 2,000mg a day antibiotics,anti inflamatories supp,which ive used for 20 days.The phlebitis as now travelled to my stomach.ive been to casualty twice,had a scan on my leg.I am now on two weeks 2,000mg a day antibiotics,ive taken a week already.While it is a bit better i still am having new areas of phlebitis appearing....I am so depressed....please help me....xxThankyou for youre reply..I have never smoked,i have not had an operation,i am overweight and thats the only thing i have out of youre list..Why has'nt the medication i have recieved over a month stopped this spreading? the parts i had it bad are now turning to bruises.However i still have new patches developing.I am under a vascular surgeon awaiting a new precedere if i want it done laser in veins I did take tablets to prevent my period for ten days and the doctor in casualty said that i should not have taken these,seen as i am prone to phlebites..Anything you think would help me to get over this bout as this is the worse i have ever had .I would be grateful..Thankyou for youre reply once again.xx
Phlebitis (inflamed veins)?
hi, i have had phlebitis for 9 months and had a blood clot over a year ago, i keep going on antibiotics but they dont work, the phlebitis is now from my ankle to my thigh, very painfull, does anyone know of anything to get rid of it please please help me,,,,, thanks
Symptoms of Phlebitis?
My grandmother woke up this morning to find her arm and hand SEVERELY swollen. It's very, very fat and makes it difficult for her to do things. I've begun to suspect that it's phlebitis, despite that the coloring of her skin isn't red like that of the pictures, because I can't think of anything else it might be. I'm trying to get her to go to the emergency room and get it dealt with, but ever since she went for ambulatory surgery and ended up stuck in the hospital for a week, she's VERY anxious about going. She's eighty five now, and not a fan of them at all. I'm trying to explain to her that she REALLY needs to go but she's being extremely stubborn and I can't get her to budge. Can anyone tell me some background knowledge about the disease or any other diseases that would cause this symptom ? Is it potentially fatal, especially to an eighty five year old? Is there any alternative to going to the emergency room, and would a regular doctor be able to prescribe something?
