Will Photodynamic Thereapy(PDT) work for somone that is at stage four in pancreatic cancer?
I know someone that has had pancreatic cancer for about 4 years and had undergone chemotherapy. Around last year this person went into remission and recently, it came back. I have heard about patients in PDT and it worked for them but they were in the early stages of the cancer. Will PDT work for someone that has about 2 weeks to live?

My stepfather has pancreatic cancer?
My stepdad has pancreatic cancer, and had for several years. For the past six months, growth has been shown in the tuner and he has been unable to receive chemotherapy because he is no longer producing blood platelets, which is leading his doctors to believe that the cancer is spreading to his bones. In short, they have told him that he won't beat it. We don't know how long he has, and I'm so incredibly scare. My biological father is so immature and just isn't there for me. He isn't reliable and I can't really trust him. My stepdad has been there for me in so many ways, and I'm so scared. In addition, school is already difficult and I have a lot on my plate with a million other family problems and it's only going to get harder. I know that he wants me to be unaffected and not worry or be scared, but I can't help it. I don't know what to do...

Just a bit about my dad, he has extreme pain in his upper right side that started periodically and now are constant. Turns out he had a block in his pancreas so they went in a put in a stent and he is now on artificial enzymes. But even with that the surgeon booked another ercp i believed its called and in addition to that a ct scan. He still has horrible pain and was given oxycodone and t3's and it doesnt seem to be doing much. He has never been a big guy but cant put on weight and is slowly losing. He is currently 5'10 and 120 lbs. He has to do things in small intervals as walking and standing to long makes him light headed and nautious. Everything ive been reading hasnt been good. I know he was diagnosed with pancretitis however Im unsure of urgency for the ct scan and second surgery 3 procedures in a week and a half The following are the procedures hes had so im just wondering if these are the steps taken to be diagonosed for pancreatic cancer. Anyone with experience or whom has gone through the same thing I would love to have some insite thanks in advance.He has had, endoscopies, bloodwork, xrays, ultrasounds, ct scans, ercp
What do you do after hearing a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer?
I had some really bad, sad news about my family this weekend. I found out my brother has pancreatic cancer. It has spread and doesn't look good. It's a shock to my family. What do you do after hearing a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer? Is there hope? From everything I've read it is a downward hill. I'm scared for my father most of all. His first wife died of breast cancer and now his son has cancer. He is older and I want to give him hope. I just need to find it.
Could i have Pancreatic Cancer?
around mid november i came down with blisters in my mouth. i couldn't eat for a whole week after they healed i had a blood test done to see if it was herpes, test came back negative. felt good for about a week after that. then i started having severe back pain from pushing my uncles car. i went to the doctor, he prescribed me naproxen and had an xray done. came back fine and told me it might just be a back sprain. two days later i had a hard time urinating, most likely because of the naproxen. I ended up going to the ER that day and they gave me a rocephin shot and some antibiotics, just in case it was an infection according to them bunch of BS if you ask me . after i got home i vommited and had diarriha. the next day i was bloated and had diarriha and constant burping. i went to the doctor countless times for 2 and a half weeks and had countless test done, including stool test, everything came out fine. threw those weeks i was bloated, had diarriha like poop, vomiting and burping and wasn't eating much. the bloating eventually disappeared after 2 weeks, and so did the diarriha like poop but the burping and not eating much stayed. then before xmas i started loosing my appetite and started vomiting again after i ate. on december 26 i went to the ER, had some blood test done and had a CT scan. everything came back normal. after that and after new year i still had lost of appetite and vomiting. on janurary 7 i went to my doctor, who finally decided to send me to a gastrologist. i went on janurary 9 and saw the gastrologist for the first time. i told him the symptoms i was having, and told me something was wrong, most likely something wrong with my stomach, he told me he wanted to do a endoscopy and colonoscopy. he gave me nexium and some good bacteria to take, during this i still had the burping and vomiting. for the next two days i vomited. after that i didn't vomit alt all, and my appetite was coming back, but the burping was still their, and i HAD LOST AROUND 20 POUNDS IN JUST A LITTLE OVER A MONTH FYI i told my gastrologist about that to . when my procedure finally came on feburary 14, he told me my colon was fine, and that my stomach was swollen a little and that i had acid reflux. i've been reading online about acid reflux, but i haven't seen anything about loosing that much weight. I've been really paranoid threw all of this. I had ideas that it might be stomach cancer, parasites, colon cancer, and ect threw the whole thing before the endoscopy and colonoscopy. im starting to suspect pancreatic cancer, i thought i might have that when i went to see my gastrologist, but he told me not to worry about it. could pancreatic cancer possibility? im still burping, i feel full after i eat, have lost around 30 pounds in 4 months and have back pain. Im only 17 years old. Before all this i was a heavy soda drinker, would drink like 3 4 liters a week maybe. never really ate vegetables, or fruits. Im only 17 so im really scared im going to ask my gastrologist tomorrow about it, but i thought i should ask here first. Please help
Pancreatic Cancer Questions? ?
My dad has suffered from pancreatic cancer since October last year and has deteriated quickly since. The cancer has also spread to the lungs and liver and he has contracted jaundice. So can anybody tell me how long you think is left and what to expect in the final days?
Pancreatic cancer with liver metasis?
My brother aged 33 is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer with liver metasis stage 4 , he had first cycle of chemo gemcitabine , does any one know any other alternative , any positive news on this disease....kinldy advice
