i recently had a serious kidney infection that they called pylonephritus . iv had a urinary tract infection before but they have never called it oylonephrititis.is this serious i have had this three other times.I was very sick i also had septis i think thats what its called because i had my infectin for a long time the doctors were amazed i was still here . I was admitted to the hospital for 2 weeks and adminastered strong antibiotics. i wonder if i have to many of these kidney infections will i need a new kidney the doctors asure me its something a lot of women get .and my kidney is fine.does any one know will i keep getting this is there a way to prevent this.how many times does it take before your kidney gets damage
Can alcohol and cocaine/speed abuse cause nephritis?
My boyfriend had nephritis and was a heavy drinker. He also used cocaine and speed but not as much as he drank. Can prolonged use of these cause nephritis?My boyfriend HAD nephritis. He abused alcohol and crack cocaine. He's dead now. I want to know if the abuse could have caused his death.

My right side of the lower back really hurts especialty after six o clock. I think I might have a kidney problem. My mother has kidney stones and my grandfather has had kidney stones. It sometimes burns when I urinate and I feel alot of pain where the right kidney is located. Is there anything I can do to relieve the pain. I am four months pregnant and my next doctors appointment is July 30th.It hurts in the middle of the night when I am lying down a sleep on my side when stretching to reach something. On a pain scale I would have to say it somethings goes up to an eight at night mostly a high 6. During the day at work it doesn't seem to bad but once I start drinking caffine drinks it flares ups. I only drink two caffine drinks a day because I am pregnant. Do I really need to cut them out or can the pain be caused from something else and if so what could it be.
What are the long term prognoses for nephritis in conjunction with tonsillitis?
I had tonsillitis as a teenager and also developed nephritis with very dark brown urine. My doctor now retired was not specific with the type of nephritis dx, or with the long term effects. All he told me was that the type of nephritis I had is usually diagnosed in children 5 6 yrs of age and usually results in death to the child.
Is it true that using a computer too much is bad for people with lupus (systemic and nephritis)?
A friend of mine who's also a retired doctor told me that, maybe I shouldn't be using my computer a lot because that may only worsen my severe condition. That I'm exposed to radiation and that's bad for my health. What do you think?

Lupus Nephritis and liprinosil.?
Hi ya'll,Just got back from Dr and was diagnosed with class 2B of lupus nephritis. Dr. prescribed me lin abundance of a lot of other things an RX for liprinosil. The only problem is that I was so blown away and over my head with what he was telling me, I forgot to ask how the liprinosil will help me with the lupus nephritis. Does it stop protein spillage which I'm having a lot of or does it protect the kidneys and if so, how? Please give me all the information you can about lupus nephritis and the coorelation of being prescribed liprinosil in addition to that. Also, I know that this medication is usually treated for HBP, of course, the irrelevant part I remember. Thank you so much
