Stem cell therapy for limb girdle muscular dystrophy?
I just want know if it's worth doing?
I think I have muscular dystrophy of some sort.?
Recently, on the last couple days of Feb this year, I can feel my muscle twitching on my foot and muscle of my leg are twitching too. It just twitches a couple times then it stops, and when it feels like twitching again, it twitches again then it stops. It has been about half a month now, and when I complained to Mom about it, she just brushed it off as " It's a minor thing. And besides, we don't have insurance and muscular dystrophy is incurable, so why go to the doctors'? He won't be able to cure you anyway." I'm only 17 and a doctors visit can cost like 50$ and if I do have it, she'll have to spend more money in 'trying' to cure something incurable. What should I do?I'm not on any diet or drugs. Just one vitamin C pill and a fish body oil per day. And both of my leg twitches. I mean, has twitched before.

Well Ian 24 yes old lupus and muscular dystrophy runs like crazy in my family I can't stand long with out my legs feeling like the want to give out, feels like I've been out jogging. Its just when iam walking on of my legs give out on me one at a time but it happens to me like 10 15 times a day could it be lupus or muscular dystrophy. Need an answer

My uncle has been sick for about a year now, and was just diagnosed with muscular dystrophy. He's in his 60's, and he's the first person in our family to possibly have it. As much as I don't want to think about what will happen, I want to be prepared. So, though I know it is a gradual disease, will my uncle just lose mobility a terrible outcome in itself or will the disease slowly kill him? Muscular dystrophy question ?
just out of curiosity, can muscular dystrophy be caused by inactive use of your muscle's for prolonged periods of time or is inactivity just something that aggravates a pre existing disease or condition that had caused the muscular dystrophy?For example, can someone who is say paralysed from the waist down contract muscular dystrophy in their legs because of inactivity and the muscles in their legs starts dying or would there have had to been a pre existing condition or disease that caused it and inactivity of the muscles in the legs only made it worse?
