Does the meningitis shot cause miscarriage?
I had a miscarriage 2 weeks after the shot and was wondering if the shot had anything to do with it. Yes, I know miscarriages are common, but I was wondering if the shot had anything to do with it.

I have a blood disorder called ITP which deals with the deficiency in platelets due to my body either destroying them or not creating enough. Now, I AM going to college next year and it is relatively big. I will be in a dorm and plan on participating in as much as possible.My fear is that it is going to mess with my already low platelet count of 23 normal is about 150 300 because vaccines create antibodies for the disease being vaccinated, and my body already creates antibodies for my platelets.I am also strictly against vaccinations. I find them unnecessary in many cases and they tend to cause unrelated disorders in smaller portions of the population. I haven't received immunizations since 08 and my new doctor is a vaccine nazi. HELP I REALLY DON'T WANT TO DIE MENINGITIS OR TB ANYTIME SOON. EDIT Actually it is the Quntani gold or something shot and a TB skin test. The Menococcal meningitis vaccine was giving to me in 08'MY COLLEGE DOESN'T REQUIRE ME TO GET THE VACCINES.
How long does a meningitis vaccine last?
I know tetanus jabs only last 5 years or something, so I was wondering how long a menigitis vaccine lasts? does it expire at all? I just went to the walk in doctor in hope of getting some antibiotics or something for what I thought was an infection or a stomach ulser which was letting in a load of random symptoms, and they just gave me a load of stuff about meningitis which ironically said if meningitis is suspected seek emerency medical treatment. Yet they jusst sent me back with that and said if the symptoms get worse and don't go then come back. Their only other suggestion was, I quote, " something fluidy" . I just remembered menigitis is vaccinated against though, and it's possible that I was vaccinated as a baby or small child like about 5, but I'm wondering how long it lasts because I'm now almost 20.

Ok, so my brother was trying to get a soccer ball out of a pond. It is stagnant too, and has duck weed and smells horrible with lots of bacteria. He didn't go swimming in it or anything, he was just using a stick to get the ball, but he got the water on his pants, shirt, and hands. Do you think he will contract meningitis? He took a shower just now and washed his hands. I know a family who lost their 10 year old daughter to meningitis because she went swimming in a lake. But my brother didn't go swimming. Do you think he will get and will he pass it on?

Viral meningitis in my 8 month old??!!?
Well I took my son to the ER yesterday after he was limp and warm yesterday in the morning They did the spinal tap and are currently doing a culture which looks to be just the viral meningitis thank goodness I'm just so so upset because my son has limited mobility especially in his legs and all though he's doing a bit better im freaking out that he still can't really stand anymore or move his legs very much I'm so so sad my baby is going through this and im dyin inside especially with little to no answers as to why he's like this. I know it can be somewhat due to his virus but im hoping and praying he comes through this and gets his mobility back Please please if you know anything or have been through something similar let me know

It started with just bad headaches and really painful stomach aches, but now it's like whenever I eat something I feel like I'm going to puke or get an even more painful stomach ache My neck and upper back has been hurting a lot, too. I'm I'm a virgin, so I couldn't be pregnant. And also, I'm not on my period anymore, but it started when I was. I take different stuff, like tums for my stomach aches and Tylenol for my headaches, but they just keep coming back I don't know what to do. Should I ask my mom to take me to the Doctor? I've actually asked her if I could but she said we'd just keep an eye on my symptoms and stuff. She said since I am in middle school, it COULD possibly be meningitis. I've never really kissed boys and stuff, if that's what could have caused it. Also, I heard one symptom was a stiff neck and back. Like is said, it's not really stiff..it's just achy and it's hard for me to do upper body exercises & stuff. What should I do..?I'm 13 by the way..

How well am I covered with the meningitis shot. I got kinda drunk last night and had a closed mouth kiss with some guy and now I'm really afraid of meningits ... I got the shot in 2008 and I recently asked my doctor and she said I'm fully covered...
Mom was diagnosed with viral meningitis. help?
hello, my mom was diagnosed with viral meningitis yesterday. she had all the symptoms like the flu for about a week,except for the vomiting & severe headaches that started yesterday in the hospital. she did have red spots on her knees and some coming in on her arms but not like the rash that comes with bacterial menengitis, were thinking it was from the high fever 103 . those have now gone away and so has her high fever, does this mean shes getting better? doctors said no infection was found in her spinal fluid, just in her head. she still cant move her head because of the stiff neck, how long does this normally last? its been like that for 5 days now. also today the doctor told her theyre still trying to figure out whats causing the severe headaches & neck pain. wouldnt that be from the viral infection? why would he say that? what are the signs that one is getting better? she has her appetite back also & is talking well too. but cant hold nothing down & has the severe headaches and stiff neck..oh and another question, why are they continuing to take blood out? i would ask the doctor all these questions but unfortunatley i havent been able to go because of my two boys who are 2 & 4.thank you so much in advance, any advice or opinions will help. im just very scared at the moment, shes 42.
My little girl had meningitis at 11days old,then gyllan Barry syndrome at 3yrs,?
She isn't the same little girl she was before she had the gyllon Barry syndrome,personality changed, she seems to have a weak immune system.will she allways be prone to infection? Thanks for any advice x
Do I have viral meningitis?
I have had this crick in my neck or i think its a crick for about three days. I have taken muscle relaxers before I go to bed but i still wake up with limited range of motion in my neck. It is really tender right over my spine and its swollen. I also have a terrible headache, it feels like my brain is trying to escape out my eyes and ears and when i stand up or make any sudden movements i feel immense pressure on the top of my head. I have not had a fever but I had strep throat two weeks ago and had fevers then. I have tried everything, heat, ice, anti inflammotories, muscle relaxers, and even hydrocodone when the pain got unbearable. I'm not sure if I can get meningitis because I had a vaccine a little over a year ago but I'm not sure if that just protects against bacterial meningitis or both.

for the past 3 days i been getting servre headach and blurred visson i went to the eye hospital 2 times and they told that i had optic nerouits and that i should go home . since i have been home the headaches are getting alot worse and now i have started to be sick and getting hugh feavers and i have started to get a red rash all down my legs that does not fade under pressure i have called nhs driect and my GP and they have told me to go back to the eye hospital but i dont see the point when they have sent me home 2 times and now i have this rash surely the eye hospital dont deal with that if any one could give me adivice plx because im helpless i really dont know what i should do i fell so ill ???
