My brother-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 of laryngeal cancer?
He will have a tracheotomy performed in a couple of days, besides what doctors tell us is there anything else that we should know or look forward to. He just turned 36 years old a few days ago. Doctors haven't gave him a life expentancy, we believe in God and hope for the best. He will undergo chemotherapy and radiation.
I'm worried my boyfriend's mom has laryngeal cancer? ?
My boyfriend's mom is a heavy smoker and drinker. She used to have uteral cancer and had it removed. However she still smokes. Recently she has laryngitis. I am worried that it is much more severe than that and that it is cancer again. She is such a great woman, successful and raised my boyfriend as a single mom. Neither of us want to lose her and it would obviously be devastating especially as it is a new year. What do I do to help? It is not my place to tell her to quit, me and my boyfriend have only been together a year and she has been smoking since 16. PLEASE HELP
Life expectancy for a person with laryngeal cancer stage 3?
My uncle who is 63 has been diagnosed with laryngeal cancer 1 month ago. Currently, he is going through chemotherapy. He is hiding everything what his doctors are telling him but he keep telling me " it's not looking good" ...Can anyone tell me how long I should expect him to live?please don't try to comfort me...just a truthful & straightforward answer from your personal experience.
Hello, I am a 27 year old who has been diagnoised with laryngeal cancer?
I am currently doing radiation therapy for it, it is T2 N0 M0. I just did an ultrasound of my breast and it showed a lump at the 10 oclock position right outside the nipple area measuring 10mm by 5mm by 6mm. The doctor now wants me to do a mammogram. Do you think I should be worried? i am so worried about developing a second cancer, but Ct scans show my laryngeal cancer never spread to my lump nodes. I don't smoke, I never drank a drop of alcohol in my life but the chemmo test shows a p16 gene fault. Please let me know if I should be worried.To respond to the second answer. I am a female. Was first diagnosed with carcinoma in situ of the vocal cords they thought just surgery would do and didn't want to radiate me because of my young age, they did 4 surgeries 3 came back CIS and then the 4th came back a true cancer not just CIS this is over a course of 1.5 years so now I am getting radiation. They did run a chemical test and found a that I am positive for p16 nuclear and cytoplasmic .

Why do laryngeal cancer patients clear their throat so much?
i mean obviously they feel a lump in their throatbut is clearing your throat invouluntary? what i mean is, they know that by clearing their throat that the lump isnt going anywhere, but they continue to do it anyway?my grandfather has laryngeal cancer, he always keeps his mouth moist and what not, but is always clearing his throat and spitting.
