Who determines what kind of treatment a kidney cancer patient receives?
My husband has a 3.4 cm kidney tumor. He has already had acute kidney failure and has high blood pressure. We both would rather have non invasive kidney sparing surgery such as freezing the tumor rather than taking the tumor out along with part or even all of his kidney.
Could i have stomach or kidney cancer?
I am 19 year old female, 5'2, and i weigh 96lbs. I have been getting sick and bloated after meals And haven't been able to eat alot. I just recently started having really watery stool and frequently occurring bowl movements after every meal. I can't sleep even though im always tired. I woke up with a nose bleed tonight with blood all on my pillow. I have been getting a tickle in my lungs when i breathe but only sometimes and recently my throats been sore i constantly feel thirsty. This sick feeling after every meal has occurred for a while now. I went to The doctor a while back and they gave me a sonigram and a ct scan and found a dot in my kidney and said it was a pen dot size of a kidney stone. My dad has kidney stones and doesn't have there issues. I feel like im falling apart... What could be wrong with me? Please help

My kidney cancer/heart issue?
My clear cell kidney cancer has unfortunately spread to my bones< right humerus now has 4.5cm tumor> and I've just started radiation tx. on it. Also, there's been a sack growth with a fluid texture that has shown up on my scans mri on around my heart. Reportedly it's a bit of a mystery and I'm told they are not quite sure what it is but my oncologist will discuss it and everything with me in about one week. My blood pressure is okay, and i'm not having shortness of breath or irregular heart beats but I'm of course concerned and wondering what this growth could be??? Most of the info. I've read just confuses me and leaves me with more questions. I've read that the fluid sac growth could be cancer related but how so? Is it like a tumor or just a sac full of cancer cells? Or something else? I'm trying to better understand the process....of what's going on there.I know I'm in a nasty stage and the cancer has been an aggressive g4 one ie. I had a 10.5 cm tumor 15cm mass removed with my right kidney about 6mos ago. I was hoping I'd be lucky but it's back metastatic...and my right arm is now weakened and very fragile. I'm very active and look well on the surface but of course I'm a bit scared and expecting the worst hoping for the best or at least some some light... As yet I'm not on any meds. yet other than pain meds, and now the radiation which has only a limited effect on rcc... The 'heart issue growth' puzzles me... I've been told by my physician that it's not an embolism or embolic...Yeah...I read the pericardial stuff...so it looks like the big conversation with the physician is likely coming...ie. I'm trying to find a simple direct cause for the the effusion that isn't 'metastatic' but so far the simplest explanation seems to point in that ugly direction where the news is a bit grim. Thanks for the reply. The bottom line is that it restated pretty much what I've been googling... I keep hoping I guess I'll get some magic little answer like 'oh don't worry it's just a common little thing that goes away...' The worser my RCC gets the more I really don't want to die from it...BUT it just keeps eating me up. I hate it.The aggressive nature of this thing is almost mind blowing ie. a couple of weeks back I was pitching ball...and now I can barely even write with my right arm... The pericardium stuff I had not associated with RCC, but apparantly RCC is insisting on giving me an education...
In what stage of kidney cancer can you physically feel it?

Thanks In April I was in the hospital for a really bad kidney infection for 4 days and was on medication for it for the next month, they did a ct scan while I was there and my doctor said there was some damage on my kidney from the infection and they saw that I had a cyst on my kidney.. So i had an MRI done in June, one with and without the coloring stuff through the iv. And they gave me the disc with all the pictures on it. Once they saw that I had a cyst they reffered me to a specialist and scheduled the MRI. And the hospital I was going to was about 20 minutes away from my house. Then I couldnt get an appointment with the specialist until today, September 23rd. And he was like 2 hours away. Not that that really matters.. So today I saw the specialist. He looked at the disk with my ct pictures and the mri pictures right in front of me and pointed everything out and explained it. The other dr said i had ONE cyst on my kidney... Come to find out that my entire left kidney is COVERED in ABNORMAL cysts... He said he wouldnt be worried if thet looked like normal cysts, he said a " normal" cyst would be perfectly round, or oval or whatever shape but like no imperfections around th edges if that makes sense. But mine were shaped differently, with imperfections. My left kidney was wayyyy bigger than the right, but they thought it might have been from the infection and medication, and it had gotten a little smaller since the ct scan when they did the mri.. But other than that nothing had changed. He said cysts are very common on kidneys and he wouldnt be worried about it if they were shaped like safe, normal cysts.. But since my kidney is completly covered in abnormal cysts, hes a bit concerned. And since they arent normal he brought up the " what if" s of cancer. He said the risks are very low for a 17 year old to have kidney cancer.. And I am 17. But with the way my kidney looks, that risk just went up. Im getting another MRI done this coming week and seeing the specialist again the same day. Because it has been a few months since the last one so an update would be good before they decide to do surgery. To check and see if it has gotten any better. If that is even possible. He said if there isnt any improvement, they are taking out my whole kidney and sending it out to be tested for cancer. Then we'll go from there.. He isnt going to do a biopsy because they would have to get a biopsy from all of them.. And if they are cancerous then they would be spilling cancerous fluid into my whole abdomen. I get random sharp pains in my side. I mentioned that and he said it might be from this, or it could be from my intestons or something. What do you think of this, and can i expect? What if I do have cancer??? Im only 17 and the thought of that terrifies me. What would happen if I do have cancer? Where would we go from there? By the sounds of it, it looks like Im going to have some kind of surgery either way. If there is no improvement, im getting my kidney taken out, But he is very concerned and looks like he would want to take it out to be tested either way.. So tell me about that kind of surgery? How can we tell if someone has kidney cancer?
This friend I have claims that she has kidney cancer.But she has had a history of lying,I am not sure why she would lie but I really want to know if she is because she claims that she has had it for over a month now and that she is " stabilizing it" with injections every week but so far she hasn't shown any of the symptoms It has been only a month so I feel bad doubting but she does have a whole lot of energy for a person with cancer. How can I tell if she actually has it or not? Oh and she mentioned something about it being 5cm long and if it gets to 7cm she's going to need a transplant or something. 20 Yr old female with kidney cancer?
Ok, so my friend is a 20 yr. old female, and she tends to strive for attention how ever she can possibly do it. She is now telling everyone she has renal cancer. She hasnt showed any symptoms of it except maybe back pain, but she does get kidney stones, which would obviously cause the pain, and i read that it most commonly occurs in men 50 70. She is also telling people that she is going to chemo, and i also read that chemo is never really used on this form of cancer, because it very rarely works. And supposedly she has gone through the whole cancer and chemo thing before . I just want to know if what I read is true, and is there a chance she is telling the truth? What should I do if she isnt?

Ultra sound result Left kidney is normal size shap and echogenicity with smooth outline central pelvicalyeal sinus is mildly dilated multipal hyper echoic focci 3mm to 5mm size with posterior acousti shadow seen in the pc sinus cortico medullary ratio appears normal.does it mean my mother has kidney cancer? Please reply asap.
