I have irritable bowel syndrome. and when ever im on my period my ibs is 100 times worse?
its not my ibs symptoms which are worse its the pains, if iget gas, the pains are unbearable to the point i think im going to faint sometimes. and my anything passing through my bum hole, poop or gas, it feels soooo soooo sensitive and again at times i can not pass a poop and i have to get off the toilet because i believe im about to pass out with pain. this is only when im on my period though. what can i do?

Hi, I'm 15, and I wanted to know if these symptoms sound like IBS. Sharp lower abdominal pain that can wake me up during sleep, pain relieved by using the restroom and normally that poop is diarrhea, being constipated a lot, feeling nauseous when the lower abdominal pains happen, stomach makes loud growling noises.. Does this sound like IBS or something else?
What has helped your irritable bowel syndrome?
I have this and I thankfully am, not plagued by it every day. However attacks are becoming more regular and more prolonged.I know people experience IBS in different ways, for me it is really really painful disabling cramps. When it comes on I have Buscopan tablets to help the cramps....they only help a little and Loperimide for diarhoea which doesn't help at all. The only help I have found is sitting with a hot water bottle at my tummy and wait for it to pass....sorry to be gross but it isn't over until I have been to the loo 10 20 times. It is strange because I know when it isn't over and I know when I have had my last trip to the loo.This used to last 3 4 hours once a month but it has steadily risen to 10 12 once a week. I am now left with lingering pain that I never used to be. Paracetamol helps with that.I know that fatty foods, alcohol and stress set it off.What do other people do to help it? I don't want to go to doctor again but I am thinking I may have to.I have tried peppermint but unfortunately it makes me retch. I am going to try it again though, even if I have to hold my nose

My symptoms just started a few hours ago. I keep having horrible cramps in my lower stomach and when I go to the bathroom it's diarrhea I know, gross the pain goes away, but comes back after 20 or so minutes. I have my period so could it just be that?

I am a 22 year old guy. I have been having this issue since I was 17, 5 years back. I normally have a bowel movement once everyday. And sometimes when passing stools, I feel as thought I have not fully evacuated the stools and there is some leftover behind. I try forcing them out but nothing comes out. And then the whole of that day, I will have dry mouth, bad breath, bloated stomach and feel irritated. However if the next day itself I have a bowel movement, a proper one, everything turns back to normal, I will feel healthy as ever. This has been going on for 5 years, with an alternating pattern. I have seen a doctor about a year back, he checked my anal area, he said there is no problem with it and I just need more fiber and water. I do take in lots of fiber and water but sometimes the whole bowel movement just screws up like incomplete evacuation, narrow stools and then it becomes normal again. BUT, i have never noticed any blood, pus, or dark stools. The stools have been normal mostly. Just that the evacuation becomes an issue sometimes. What exactly causes this problem? Why can't I just have normal bowel patterns? It keeps on changing now and then. Is this colon cancer? IBS? Any idea?

I am getting allopathic treatment for IBS from last three years..allopathy says that it can only stop my symptoms of ibs but cant cure it...pls tell me that can homeopathy cure my problem..is there any permanent solution for this problem rather than stopping symptoms, in homeopathy...???

I suffer with IBS every day and I have diarrhoea and flatulence all day long, no matter what I eat. The doctor told me it was IBS. Diets don't work. Is there anything I could take to diminish the symptoms?
