What is the possibility of getting impetigo from being in the hospital for a week after surgery?
I have looked online at a bunch of impetigo sites and just can't get a simple answer. I had an emergency surgery for a perforated ulcer the middle of January and was in the hospital for a week. Within a couple days of coming home, I noticed that I was getting several " pimples" but when I popped them, there was never any puss, only oil. Within the past couple months my " oil only pimples" have gone completely out of control. Starting out with just a couple small spots it has ended up spreading all over my face and back, they're HUGE I have 1 on the side of my mouth about the size of a quarter and they itch really bad. That's how my quarter size spot got that size, cause I scratch it cause it itches that bad. Sure, I know that's not good, but I can't help it Everything I read about this they keep talking about Staph bacteria. Is that a Staph Infection? And we all know it's common to get Staph Infections in the hospital. I've always had an acne problem I'm 34 years old , but it's NEVER been like this And what can I do at home to help it, besides the obvious of not scratching it? I don't have any insurance and on Disability from a failed back surgery, so all my money goes to doctors and meds for my back. Is Hydrogen Peroxide a good idea? How about Neosporin? But I am really concerened if this is a Staph Infection I could have picked up in the hospital.
I think I have impetigo, shall I go to a doctor?
My sister had it awhile ago and I got a few days ago a red circle blister rash on my arm, however I feel fatigue and weak. I also got some itichy blisters in my mouth and my neck is stiff. What shall I do about it?

Can I go to school with impetigo?
I've had impetigo for about 2 weeks now and went to the doctors yesterday, they gave me a cream which I've already been using for a day or so. School starts in 4 days and I'm wondering whether it would be alright for me to go to school with all my exams coming up, so I need to attend class LSome advice would be really helpful guys Also as a bonus do you think you could tell me whether or not I'd be able to go swimming with it being contagious and all... Cold sore/ impetigo or something else?
I have a sore on my chin, it's starts with a tingling stinging feeling then a cluster of small spots appear, which within a few hours turn to blisters. This happens in the space of 2 4 hours. After this it starts to scab over yellow and horrible to look at I've been getting this once a year in the same place since 2004, although it did stop for 4 years. I've looked up cold sores and impetigo which both have the similar symptoms but both have symptoms that I do not get.From what I have read it sounds more like impetigo but it never spreads and my children have never caught it. I don't get any other symptoms prior or during.I'd go to the doctors but it is closed at the weekend and I dont really see this as a Monday morning emergency I'm am off to boots in the morning but want to know the best cream to get as there is no consultant to ask on a Saturday Thanks in advance

Why does my impetigo keep coming back?
I have been battling impetigo on and off for about five years. Everytime I get some type of bad wind burn sun burn or heat damageed burn from a curling iron or flat iron the infection forms. I have treated it several times and followed everything my doctor told me uncluding not putting makeup on, keeping my face and hands clean, and medicine given by my doctor to the infected area. I get confident when it goes away but as soon as I get another burn or openwound it come right back. Everytime I get a burn or open wound I always keep it well cleaned to prevent impetigo but it forms anyway. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm wondering if it's a disease that you can keep getting like cold sores or if there's another reason it keeps coming back...please help me
Does Finacea help cure impetigo?
My roommate had impetigo and now I'm worried I may have it. My symptoms do not exactly match hers, however in the chance that I do have it, is the Finacea that I use on my face twice daily helping cease the spreading of the infection at all? Thanks

i got a little blister on the nose that popped next day my nose was full of them they turned to a yellow crust i used both acyclovir and an antibiotic cream to treat it after 3 days they started falling off everything happened in around 9 days it didnt hurt or itch it was just uncomfortable, this was the first time this happened but i haven't had sex or kissed anyone in two months so i don't know where i could have gotten it from
Impetigo keeps coming back every month!!?
For almost 2 years impetigo keeps reoccurring on my face. Usually just over a month it will appear again.One time I was in hospital for a week as it covered my whole face and it sure wasn't pleasent The last 5 weeks I have been on acne tablets twice a day. The doctor said this should stop it as it would do something to my pores.I have had creams, nose ointments and other tablets which work well to clear and finish the courses as directed.But it seems like no matter what it just keep coming . I have Eczema which may make me more vulnerable.Will be going to doctors tomorrow for about the 20th time and becomin to be like a broken record. Any advice or ideas to try or talk to the doctor will be appreciated
Impetigo...exposure what are the risks of contacting infection?
i am 39 weeks pregnant and my partner has been boxing with someone with impetigo this person with the condition has been taking anti biotics orally to treat his impetigo but I am VERY concerned my husband will be carrying the infection which won't show up any symptoms for the next 4 10 days... what are the risks to our family and what can we do in the mean while? I am terrified I'll g o into labour without having my husband with me or any possible risks to the newborn. Can he take treatment without symptoms? please please help.
Impetigo... how long before it clears?
I am a freshman wrestler 14 years of age. I am 106 lbs. if it matters in the process of clearing it up I have had it for 4 days about. i was just sent down from practice to see if what i had was impetigo. The trainer thinks it is. i have to make a doctors appointment to see if i can get cleared. i have had nothing on it but hydrogen peroxide. i have an appointment tomorrow 2 14 12 and i have the district tournament on the 17th of february. Do you think with my appointment and the application of the ointment i should be clear by the 17th? I need cold hard information so i can tell my coach if i can or not so he can find a replacement fast. THANK YOU
