Do I have hyperkalemia?
I started a new medication, lisinopril, on the 19th at 11am. Is it possible that by 8am on the 21st I could have developed hyperkalemia? The symptoms I had were tingling throughout the body the frequency of the tingling has reduced now that I have been on the drug longer and fatigue lethargy. The medications I am on are, in detail Propranolol 10mg three times daily 8am, 2pm, 8pm Lisinopril 10mg one daily 8am I'm 15, male, and very worried. HELP OI've been having high blood pressure and tachycardia for a few months. Although it is apparently most likely due to stress, I am having more I have already had many others tests done renal ultrasound, echocardiogram within this year lol... canada . Anywho, I've been on propranolol to control the two for a while, but it hasn't been working consistently enough to properly treat my blood pressure. After a dose of 20mg three times a day was proven to be ineffective, I began taking lisinoprol as I gradually reduced my propranolol dosage. Thanks for the comments, TCW

Sudden death. The death certificate said hyperkalemia for 2 hours. ?
They said I don't know what happened. the death certificate showed hyperkalemia for 2 hours. I have been told that this should not have happened. A 14 year old should not have died from this if everyone was doing what they were supposed to. HELPYes he had a liver transplant. He was stable. They said they hung a bag of blood at 1 00 am. Then they said at 3 00 am he started having heart arrhythmia. Then at 4 00 am they started doing chest compressions. The doctor showed up at 4 25 so they didn't call him when he started or he didn't come when they called. It has been 4 months since the death of my child and I still have no answers. Medical records were requested and all they sent were medical bills and admission papers.I have gotten a lawyer, but again 4 months is a long time for a mother to have no idea why her child is gone. The doctor that filled out the death certificate said hyperkalemia for 2 hours. With everything I have read I thought if he had hyperkalemia for 2 hours he should still be alive.

Hyperkalemia Diagnosis?
I have recently been diagnosed with hyperkalemia my potassium level is over 8.0 and I would like to know exactly how dangerous it is to have my level that high. I have read in numerous descriptions of this that if a person's potassium level reaches 10.0 then it is pretty much impossible to live. If my level is that dangerous i would like to know some different ways so that i can get it down.
