My dad had a CT scan, and we are waiting a biopsy test to determine if it is cancer or histoplasmosis or another infection, it shows a mass of the largest one being 3 inches in size in his lung, he smoked cig..for about 44 years. It was not there in 2004, and we are not sure about 2005, their are no x rays for this time.

Lung issues! histoplasmosis? cancer what????
I went to the ER last monday they said I had bronchitis. tuesday morning they called and said I had to get a cat scan that day because there was something on the x ray. A few minutes after the cat scan, the Dr. met with me and said I should see a pulmonologist that I had nodules. He said it could be mold. I met with the respiratory preson yesterday a nd did the initial breathing test I almost passed out I have to wait till next week to actually see the pulmonary doc. I have the most severe pain on the left side of my back under my ribs not lung pain. I have been trying to look syptoms up, I have lots of bats and wildlife I live in the woods by the river wondering if this could be Histoplasmosis, and if this could be speen pain caused by it? Any thoughts? Thanks

Ocular histoplasmosis and pregnancy?
In 1996 i was diagnosed with ocular histoplasmosis, i had dramatic eye loss in both eyes same amount in both finally a few years past and my doctor said it healed on its own took pictures showing scars he called them windows? whats that mean ? he said my mother would of been exposed to it while pregnant with me for me to of been sick by this. Im aware of all the causes and neither of us apply to any of them. We live in new york for one and have only been to disneyworld. If my mom was never effected why am i ? could it be something else or rather than it healing itself like my dr said could it effect other parts of the body?how was it possible for me to of been sick by this while in my mothers womb. Especially if shes never had it?
