How can i have gestational diabetes if I used to have low sugar at the beginning of my pregnancy?
I just had my sugar checked two days ago and they called me today and said it was high so now i have to do a 3 hour test. I don't understand how i could possibly have high sugar because just a few months ago i was passing out at work from low sugar. How is this possible?
Can you test normal for gestational diabetes and still end up having it?
I am 9 months pregnant and keep getting a horribly uncomfortable tingling pain starting in my neck and shoulders and then up into my head and down my spine. My face will start feeling pressure on the sides till my jaw tenses up really bad and my eyes start blacking out till I can't see and I break into a sweat. I end up laying down feeling like I'm being crushed. I've told my doctor about this multiple times and she tells me I'm not eating enough sugar. Its gotten to the point that all I'm eating if food with sugar and I still feel sick but she just keeps saying eat more sugar. I tested for gestational diabetes and tested normal. Is there any chance that its changed and I possibly still have gestational diabetes even after testing normal? Or does this issue sound familiar to anyone at all? Cause I feel like I'm not getting any help...

When does gestational diabetes develop?
This is the second pregnancy that I've had it, and they diagnosed it in the first trimester. Does this just mean I have diabetes normally?Side note I opted out of getting tested for diabetes after my last pregnancy because I was about to change insurance companies.When does gestational diabetes begin to affect the body.. 12 weeks? 20 weeks? 4 weeks?

I had gestational diabetes and the nutritionist who advised me at that time said not to eat cold cereal first thing in the morning or fruit first thing in the morning. She said something about those 2 things tend to spike blood sugar in the morning. Is the same true for people with diabetes who are diet controlled and on metformin? I ask because my grandmother has diabetes and she recently had her toe amputated. The doctor said she really needs to take better care of her diabetes. So she asked for info on diabetes from me and I don't know if gestational diabetes is much different from what she has.

I am 14 weeks pregnant and today I went to the doctors and apparently I tested positive for gestational diabetes. My blood sugar was 208 after drinking this really sweet stuff that a nurse gave me. Help with gestational diabetes?
Hey, just looking on a little insight really. Developed gestational diabetes and having a very hard time controlling my blood sugar. I've noticed something strange though. I will eat one meal at a certain time of day, and have the exact same meal, down to portion size another day at a different time, and there's a big difference in my blood sugar. Could anyone shed some light on this for me?An example last night I had beef barley soup and 1 piece of bread for dinner. 1 hour later my blood sugar was 7.7, which is normal. Had the same meal for lunch today and it was 8.9. I'm so confused
Gestational diabetes menu plan?
I have gestational diabetes and my doctor wants me to cut out sugar add more protein etc. this is completely new tO me does anyone suggest any diet plan menu items anything I should be eating. If someone could tell me something like breakfast this this this snack lunch snack dinner snack that kind of thing. Please give me any tips and suggestions. Thanks
