I just found out I have HSV1 genital herpes but it took 3 years to detect by swab test. Why?
So I was tested for herpes back in 2010 both blood and swab test... Blood test showed HSV1 genital herpes showed negative until now 2012.... I tested for HSV1 down there the level is > 5.00 could this explain why I break out in a rash? I was really worried because all these years I was told I didnt have genital herpes, but me and my fiance' had sex because I was told I didnt have genital herpes but now Im worried that I gave it to him.... Its not my fault I have this, my stepdad molested me since I was a kid, and my mom ignored it and wouldn't let me tell the cops.. But Im now 19. I been molested since I was 9... Anyway can I put him in jail for molesting me and giving me and std?Also can herpes spread through condoms? I only break out in a rash, and my fiance have never got the rash.. Does this have to do with the virus being weak? Why did it take 3 years to detect it genitally?
Could I have given genital herpes to someone even if I don't have it?
I get cold sores every once in a while, but while I have them I restrain from sexual activity because they are gross and I wouldn't want to kiss that.. anyway I had one and it healed, and was gone. I had oral sex within the next few days of it healing and disappearing. My partner now has an outbreak of genital herpes... could it be from me? or a previous partner? I hear it can lay dormant in the body for a while. If it was me, I feel terrible.. I would never intentionally give it to someone.. could I possibly get genital herpes now? this is a crazy mess I have read that cold sores can be transferred to genital herpes but only if you have an open sore... correct me if I'm wrong.

Recently, my best friend was diagnosed with Herpes simplex 2. She was a virgin and made a mistake by sleeping with a guy who has gotten around. After finding out she had it she has been extremely upset and hopeless, and Im scared for her. but my point is, anyone who has herpes, how has herpes effected your life in bad ways, or possibly in good ways. how have relationships been, and what do you do to cope with having it, and do things get better emotionally over time? I know herpes may be a shamed disease, but i want to show her that people can really live normal happy lives with it, and it doesnt make you any different of a person for having it. please any answers would be great thank you and if your going to make an obnoxious rude comment, go somewhere else.

I've just been to get checked out and the dr was pretty sure i've got genital herpes and has started me on medication. I've never had an STI and i'm so upset. The sores are very painful and uncomfortable. Please don't judge me because i'm very upset and have no one else to talk to. My question is could it be possible that the person that who gave it me didn't know they had it? The information the Dr gave me is good but i'm still a bit unsure about that part. Thanks in advance.

Genital Herpes question?
I noticed tonight on my boyfriend's penis while pulling back his foreskin, 2 red spots on the head of his penis, and a few red spots on the pulled back foreskin.. Upon closer inspection, we noticed that a few of the spots appeared to be opened sores.. We are incredibly worried about him having genital herpes, and he is visiting the doctor tomorrow. He has never slept with anyone but me, and I have never had any sort of herpe symptom. His penis is not sore at all.. Is it possible that I may have given it to him though I have never had a symptom?Please idulge me with information

hi please I need help I had sex with a genuine guy that told me first time we met that he had a genital herpes type 1. he's taking medication regularly I think everyday so he won't have an outbreak. a day before we had sex he went to the walk in clinic to check if he was clean and safe. Then he said it was ok to have sex without a condom and there is only a small presentage for me to catch the herpes when he doesn't have an outbreak and especially if its a type 1. so we did...I feel really stupid because I read about it before I had sex with him but somehow I believed he was right. do I have herpes now??? please help me
Genital Herpes Transmission?
My roommate recently discovered that she has genital herpes. Crazy part is that she is in a monogamous relationship with my best friend since last June, who has been tested right around his birthday, in June, for the past 2 years and came up negative on both counts. Both claim to be 100 % faithful and I believe them. They've always had a long distance relationship so they don't hook up all the time, just a couple of times a month. What is the possibility that his blood tests have came up a false negative? What's the possibility that this has been dormant in her since before they started dating and he is NOT infected? I ask these questions because both of them have been sexual active with other friends of mine in the past and I want to think about this progressively.
