How to treat the frostbite on my face?
Yesterday I got a nasty bruise on my cheek, so I iced it for about 30 minutes on and off for a couple hours. During the process of icing my face my nose and cheek got really numb, but I thought this was normal. So I kept icing it and ended up getting frostbite on my cheek and nose. I tried warming the areas up a couple hours after and my face felt kind of numb with a tingling sensation. Then I went to bed and woke up with my nose still numb kind of warm with a little bit of feeling and same with my cheek. I have been trying to warm the areas for a while now but they still feel numb. What should I do to treat the frostbitten areas of my face?

Do I have frostbite?!?
I was outside in open toed shoes last night not smart I know and it's kind of cold right now in Chicago and since I had no ride home I walked to my apartment and my feet started getting colder and colder and a couple of blocks from my home my feet started going numb so I ran home and my feet were feeling super weird and when I got in I started to rub towels on my feet to warm up my feet and I went to sleep when I could feel my toes again. I woke up with both of my big toes kind of hurting a little. They aren't a different color or anything but they both hurt at the top of the toe which was exposed to the elements. Is it possible that I could have frostbite? It's only been like 8 or 9 hours since my toes were exposed to the cold.

Urgent!! Do I have frostbite?
So this is going to sound like the classic dumbass teenager story because well it is. So in the way of a 16 year old I decided to be an idiot and do the salt and ice challenge if you don't know what it is you put ice and salt in your hand and try to hold it for as long as possible. and actually made it through about a minute of it. After my hand was almost all red except for on the upper part of my palm where your fingers begin. I didn't think much of it at the time and just shrugged it off. After a few days my began to get redder and redder around where it had originally turned white. It's been four or five days approximately now and it's slowly turning purple. I want a second opinion before I go inform my doctor that I'm a complete idiot. My thanks in advance.
I've got frostbite, how bad do you think it is?
I've got frostbite. It's on my wrist. The area is white, a little raised, and the area around it is red. The white area is hard, too. I don't think it can be that bad...It was only cold for at the MOST, a minute...Probably more around half a minute...What do you think? Should I be too worried?
Can one get frostbite from an icepack?
I know with heat pads for physical therapy they use a sort of buffer of a towel which conducts heat slower. I am using a gel ice pack for my forehead for a migraine and was told to keep it on there until my forehead is numb but doesn't numbness lead to frostbite?
Can the ice challenge give you frostbite?
We lasted 3 minutes, I won, and she wen't to throw away the ice and I had it for an extra few minutes. For those who don't know of this challenge It is when you put LOTS of salt into your hand and hold an ice cube in it as long as you can, until the other person gives.Right now my ring finger, which did have a bit of salt around it, is now red, it has a pain when it is touched. It also feels like a bump, but from a side few comparing with my other hand it doesn't have any swelling. It has been like this for three days.
If a parent has gotten frostbite can it effect their children?
Hi So, my mom has gotten frostbite before I was born, and I think I have Raynauds disease. I'm fourteen and a girl. My fingers and toes always get ice cold when I go outside or when I use them, and it's gotten worse this winter then the last one. My fingers get so cold that they get paler then they usually are and it takes a while to warm them up, and everytime I wear gloves, nothing changes. I was wondering if because my mom has had frostbite that maybe something similar got inherited to me.
Do I possibly have frostbite?
This morning I had a soccer game and I forgot to wear a long sleeved shirt underneath my jersey. It was not even 40 degrees F I couldn't feel my arms. I even fell during that game because I rely on my arms to keep me balanced when I run. My arms were turning purplish as well. I could hardly move my hands. I can finally move my arms and fingers, but it still has a prickly feeling. My fingers are a little red just a little redder than normal, but not noticeably red .
What home treatment can be done for a mild degree of frostbite?
I was trying to tape an air horn in the middle of the night to mess with the guys at a lock in. I couldn't get it taped and it slid to the position where it was spraying on my hand. I ran it under water that night and held it against my body for warmth. Now two of my fingers have red patches on them, the side of my hand is red, and in between my fingers are red very painful when I make a fist. Anything I can do besides the obvious, " you should go see a doctor" ? Between the fingers hurts, but other than that it is just red.
If you get frostbite, can you die from bleeding to much after an amputation?
just out of curiosity
Do I have Forstnip or Frostbite?
This morning I was outside for about 5 minutes brushing my car off. It was about 22 degrees fahrenheit and I wasn't wearing gloves yeah I know stupid when I got inside my fingers hurt like hell, yet were so cold they were numb and I could barely even tie my shoes. In a couple of minutes I went to the bathroom and put warm water on them and gradually made it hotter. When I was in school, they became swollen. They have been swollen, mildly red, throbbing, and hurts more than normal every time I apply even the slightest physical force on them. They also fell slightly tingly. Is this frostnip first degree frostbite or is it frostbite? Can you tell me how long it will last and how to treat it?
What to do for Frostbite?
Okay so I think I gave myself mild frostbite I have throbbing, tingling, redness, and stinging in my palm.Soooo what do I do?NO doctor's for right now, she's booked and busy for a while. I have a bandage over it so nothing touches it. It's been about 26 1 2 hours 10 30AM here right now and yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.I've already put it in warm water, and also put some cream stuff on it which was probably a stupid idea. But too late now. Someone recommended I go to a Shoppers drug mart and ask them too look at my hand and see what they tell me to do, but I want to save the hassle if I can.Thank you And it's about from the bottom of my fingers, to the middle of my palm. Not very big either.
