I have been feeling terrible for about a year. My fatigue and exhaustion have been building and are at a point where they are completely out of control. I have had several symptoms of Lupus, which concerned my internist. I have horrible fatigue, achey joints and muscles, severe headaches, low grade fevers at night, butterfly malar rash redness on my cheeks at night, tingling red spots on my feet, and also severe pain on my right side, and digestion issues.My doc ordered a slew of blood work. The ANA came back negative, but Epstein Barr was positive. I know it shows up as positive in most people, but I was tested a year ago for Epstein Barr and the results were negative. Celiac test was negative, and the colonoscopy and endoscopy performed for my digestive issues were fine. I've read about a connection between a positive Epstein Barr and Lupus. Even though my ANA is negative, is there any way I could have Lupus? background info I have interstitial cystitis and endometriosis. I've had a complete hysterectomy which greatly helped the endometriosis feb 2012 . I have also had my gallbladder and appendix out.

My situation is kind of confusing. I know that Epstein Barr is the virus that can cause mono. My boyfriend came down with mono last month, and had full on horrible symptoms two days after him and I kissed, so obviously I was concerned. About a month later i started feeling achey with fatigue so i went to get tested for mono. I just recieved my results today, and it said recently within the past two months I was infected with Epstein Barr virus, but it never turned into mono. Could I have gotten just the Epstein Barr virus from my boyfriend even though he had mono? Or did I just coincidentally happen to catch Epstein Barr from something else at the same time he caught mono?
