Can you treat epilepsy with herbs and vitamins?
My daughter is 8 and having a recurrence of her infant epilepsy. It's clearly cyclical she has clusters of seizures once a month and a host of adrenarche symptoms. So, definitely hormones. Her pediatrician says we ignore that and just give her powerful anticonvulsives. I think we stabilize the hormones with herbs, but I've never met anyone who has tried it
Can you develop epilepsy at any age ?
Like in your late teens or early 20's. And does having seizures while sleeping indicate possible epilepsy? Thank you
Muscle twitching sign of epilepsy?
I have been having muscle twitching quit badly in the top of my left arm and I sometimes get it in my eye not that often and I rarely get it in my leg. The worst is my arm as it is sometimes quite bad. I am wondering if its anything serius.I am 13 years old.
Could I have epilepsy?
2 years ago in class we were standing up for a while to watch the teacher do a demonstration, and suddenly I began to feel really ill and dizzy. Next thing I knew I was waking up on the floor, and after a few minutes I was fine again, but my friends said I was out for about 30 seconds 1 minute, and my legs were twitching. Today, the exact same thing happened to me standing up for about 10 minutes, began feeling dizzy, I knew what was coming. Again, my friends said my legs were twitching a bit.Is this normal? I hardly drink anything so could it be down to dehydration, or hormones? My aunt had epilipsy.. I'm only 14.
Questions about epilepsy?
I have a good friend, and I found out she has epilepsy. I really like her and I don't know what to do if she has a seizure. Im honestly pretty worriedwhenever i hang out with her. What I read made it seem like if it's not over 3ish minutes, then they are fine. Do I still call 911? I know to put them on their side, but what else is there I should know about what to do?

Well here is my story. Every time I have a seizure, it is when I don't drink much water and don't get enough sleep. I always feel twitchy and jerky before every occurance, and if I drink a ton of water and rest I can prevent it. The first time I had a seizure was when I was 16. I am now 17 and i only have had seizures at home. When I do, i remain in " seizure" mode for up to 24 hrs having one after another. I do not have them regularly, only when i put myself in certain conditions. Like my first time, I woke up early did a lot of intense excersize, and didnt drink much water. But every time before a seizure I get involuntary twitches. Nowadays if I don't drink enough water don't get enough sleep i feel the " twitches" but I drink a ton of water and relax and it goes away.
My wife age 36yrs diagnosed epilepsy & she is taking Tegretol 600mg/day, Lamictal 200mg/day & Eltroxin250mcg?
my wife age 36yrs has been diagnosed epilepsy 4 years back MRI and EEG done several times by Neuro Consultant Psychotic or epileptic Fits started about 9 years back.She is taking Tegretol 600mg day and Lamictal 200mg day and eltroxin 250mcg per day. she cant control her anger and becomes violent and hits herself attempts suicide by overdosig meds, screems and does severe crazy things like trying to jump out of moving car, running away from home, going to police and reporting my husband trying to kill me and saying same to her relatives. Also when she is calm she tries to get sympathy of other men and women. pls advise if there is any drugs to control her anger? Her this condition is since last 8 9 years and she is getting worse. When is angry and mad she shows hate and says bad words to me and now tries to hit me also and when becomes normal she cries and appologies and regrets her behaviour with me. pls advise
State guard and epilepsy?
I am epileptic, and i've been thinking about joining the military, but i know they have strict policies for that. does the texas state guard or texas national guard allow people with epilepsy to join?

a vagus nerve stimulator. the device for a " pacemaker" for the brain for epilepsy.what are the chances that it will completely stop all the seizures? or will it just reduce them?
What will it be like to take ecstasy if I have epilepsy?
I don't have seizures often. maybe once a year now. And i'm off my medication Trileptal and Keppra well, kinda I haven't taken them in a good year anyways. And i'm going to a dubstep show on friday, i've smoked weed before but I've never done anything else and I want to try ecstasy, just for a one time thing. and just a dip of it not a whole lot. I feel like everything will fine but i just want to know if anyone with epilepsy has done it before?

My sister, whose age is 20 had a seizure before 7 months. Now she is taking epileptic medicines since then. Her MRI and CT scan was normal,doctor said that it is temporal lobe epilepsy.she never had another seizure since then. My question is that is it safe to allow driving to her or not?
