Been having quite a few endometriosis attacks recently?
So I have Endometriosis I got diagnosed last year after my 15th Birthday..The last few days have been terrible.. what I call endometriosis attacks are when you get shooting pains in your uterus and your nearly sick because it's that severer. I got my first one since my operation on Monday and then tuesday was clear. Today I went to support my mum at the lymphedema clinic. I was sat and I got this contracting in my uterus I'm not sexually active and I didn't know what was gonna happen. To what extent the endometriosis attack would be. So I took painkillers. Unfortunatley I took them a little too late.. I walked fastly to the toilet and locked myself in.. then I fell to the floor crying and nearly throwing up. Now I'm just knackered. could this be my endometriosis returning? Thanks Emily. XI know there is no such thing as a cure.
I have endometriosis; could this be causing the pain I am experiencing?
I have been having pretty bad chest pains accompanied with my usually stomach pains, except the pains in my stomach are going down my leg a bit. I went to the doctor yesterday, but my regular doctor wasn't there. The doctor I did see said that my pain is acid reflux and gave me a prescription. However, I'm not even gonna take it. My mom, step father, and me all agree that what she says is bogus. I don't drink caffeine, nor did I consume any fried foods before during and before the pain occurred. Could the pain of the endometriosis be worsening? Should I go see a gynecologist and get a laparoscopy?
What is endometriosis?
I came across a video on YouTube about how menstrual cups can create back flow that possibly causes endometriosis. Endometriosis is where the cells from the lining of the uterus grow and flourish in another part of the body, like the stomach. Right?..Are the cells and lining dead after it leaves the body, or what?
I think I have endometriosis, should i go to the hospital or wait for the doctor!?
Ive been TTC for a couple months and this month my period was late, but I started today with very heavy bleeding and severe cramps that make me nauseous and dizzy My sister was diagnosed with it a couple years ago and I'm scared it will make it difficult for me to have kids
Do you think I have Ovarian Cysts and endometriosis?
I'm experiencing bloating, gas, stomach pain, fullness in my stomach and having a hard time eating. Major Headaches, dizziness and nausea, fatigue, painful bowel movements that causes burning both in my anus and vagina. Sharp pain on both ovaries, Lower back pains, I also have bad menstrual that cripple me since I was 15 or 16 even though I started when I was 9yrs and I see more black stuff in my period than red blood. And having a hard time sitting down because of the pain and burning. but I'm also experiencing burning and soreness in my vagina and I don't know if that's caused by the OC and Endo.I'm a virgin so no way of a STD, Ive been check several times and had pelvic exam and everything is PERFECT, HEALTHY and NORMAL. I'm having surgery next week for and Ovarian Cysts and possibly for endometriosis, but whats setting me off is the burning, soreness and stiffness i feel in my vagina and discomfort in my rectum. Could that be caused by the OC or endo?
Frustrated! Do I have endometriosis or PCOS?
So I went to yet another doctor today, who gave me conflicting information. So I wanted to hear from people who have really experienced either of these conditions.Brief summary of my hormonal issues Started developing breasts at age 3, diagnosed with precocious puberty, put on lupron shots till age 7, when my parents stopped them. Age 6 got an MRI scan for a brain tumor because my dad had one, nothing there Age 9 got my first period Last year at age 20, was date raped and took Plan B twice. Since age 9, i've had EXTREMELY irregular periods. October 2011 lasted an entire month, no period in november, short one first week of december and one in january, 2 periods in february, none in march or april, just got a period again yesterday. My other symptoms include swelling of the vaginal tissue after s x, blood doesn't clot properly, abnormal amounts of female facial and body hair, acne only right before period, pain during period is fairly normal. I do not have diabetes or obesity as is common with pcos, but I do shake so much doctors have thought I might be diabetic and tested my insulin levels, but never a fasting blood sugar. Ultrasounds show nothing, neither do hormone tests, but I certainly have the symptoms. Doctor first said in January its PCOS, now he changed his mind to endo. But I REFUSE to mess with my hormones anymore by taking dangerous birth control. I have asked for metformin to control the hair issue and make my periods regular, but he won't do anything but birth control. i'm frustrated, what do y'all think it is based on my symptoms?I am 5'8" and 138 pounds, very normal weight. I have pain during my periods, but it is " normal." I do not think the hair issue is genetic, because none of the other women in my family have this issue. Thanks for answering my question tho
Does the mirena help with endometriosis?
First of all, I am miserable and that's why I am online looking up endo information. My pain is almost daily, there are rarely if every days that I do not need a heating pad on. It is affecting my work, my friendships, and my relationship with my fiance. Everything seems to hurt eating, sex, going to the bathroom, etc. I don't tolerate pain meds well so my answer has been to use heating pads and eat very little since being very full tends to aggravate my symptoms. My gyno gave me the mirena in hopes of stopping my incredibly heave, painful, and long periods and hopefully relieving my symptoms. I have had it for nearly three months and it appears to have stopped my actual period bleeding. I spot but don't have full on periods, even though I can feel when they would normally come about because of the other symptoms like cramping and acne, etc. Anyway, the main miserable time for me has actually seemed to be ovulation. I am pretty much bound to be stuck in bed and a complete mess when I ovulate. From what I understand the mirena iud doesn't stop ovulation so how can that really be helping my condition? If anything it is more difficult to me now becuase at least when I was having a period I could plan for when I was going to ovulate and not work for those few days. Now I have no idea where I am in any sort of cycle.
17 year old with endometriosis?
I'm 17 years old and I think I might have endometriosis S but I thought it only affected women in their late 30s & older?? And my doctor hasn't said anything to me about it.I first got my period at 10 11 and started getting worse cramps the following year, which got worse and worse. At 13, my symptoms hit it's peak, my cramps were excruciating to the point I would vomit.. so I forced my parents to take me to the doctors one day. And my doctor told me I had dysmenorrhea, and just prescribed me some naproxens he didn't refer me for an ultra sound or anything or try to find out why I got bad cramps in the first place. Since then, I've been prescribed 5 different types of naproxens, but none really work for me anymore. Like 2 years ago, my cramps were sooo bad, I was crying so much and felt like I was on the verge of passing out so my cousin took me to the doctor and again all he did was prescribe another naproxen, and gave me this needle and said the pain would go away in 10 mins. By the time I got back home and to bed, the pain was starting to subside and like knocked me out, so I was able to sleep like a baby. I've had sooo many trips to the doctors, but they NEVER tell me anything just prescribe naproxens. So I just gave up on going to the doctors, meeting my fate each month. I've been researching and stuff but shrug .The first two days of my period is hell basically. As soon as my period starts, I begin to feel very lethargic and weak like all my energy has just been sucked out of me. And I have to take my pills pain killers gravol as soon as I see blood, because I start vomiting not too long after that, and if I don't take medicine before that first vomit.. yeah, it's useless. I vomit legit every 5 10 mins for the whole day, I just keep running back and forth, I can't eat or drink, cause I throw it right back out almost immediately. The next day I wake up, my abdomen and throat is soo sore. My cramps are reallyy bad, I can't even explain it.. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the contractions were as strong as child birth. I'm not even sure if my bleeding is regular.And on top of all this, I have hirsutism. I grow hair on my chest, stomach, and lower back it's not so visible on my lower back, but on my chest and stomach. I shave it, but it's sooo annoying I mean, I shouldn't have hair there in the first place I'm thinking it's some sort of chemical imbalance? Would that be the cause of my cramps too?? And should I go back to the doctors and tell them about my hirsutism even though I've lost faith in them . I seriously envy girls who don't get cramps or their periods only last 3 5 days
Ovarian cancer? endometriosis? ovarian cysits? uterine fibroids? hormone imbalance?i need some advice, anyone?
i am a 20 year old female who has been dealing with a messed up out of wack period for a few years i also produce breast milk & i've never been pregnant.. i've had that looked at but of course the doctor didn't do much because im so young. he recommended birth control & im so not for it i feel like it will mess me up even more or cover up a serious issue. i do have a sister that has endometriosis.. & my fathers side of the family has cancer but i don't think any type of uterine cancers.. over the past few years my periods have been beyond irregular i have had horrible pms symptoms.. from CRAZY bloating to being in pain where i couldn't walk.. i could sit here for hours telling you how bad my pms .. i have missed periods for months in rows.. lately it has been non existant almost. i've just been spotting the past 5 months now.. & at the wrong times.. it hasn't even been red blood it's just been brownish... i did have sex a week or 2 ago & i bleed during that & a day after it stopped.. but it wasn't a period or anything... my periods don't come at the normal times & when it does it's just spotting.. when i miss my periods i still deal with pms or bloating or feeling full & cramps all through out the month or even when im just sleeping.. sometimes my pelvic area will have a lot of discomfort or on either side where my ovaries are will feel swollen or be uncomfortable.. i don't have health insurance & haven't seen a OBGYN in over 2 years which is HORRIBLE i know.. but it's hard in this economy & me being so young & i don't want to rely on the government to cover me & i can't get medicaid anyways.. i could go on & on about the negitives with my period & pelvic issues.. i need some advice?? i worry because i could have something seriously wrong & not even know... a GYN or nurse please comment back.. i want someone who knows what there talking about.. thanks
Just had a laparosscopy for endometriosis, i have a few questions:?
Im 20 and i had a laparoscopy to remove lots of endometriosis, fix up some adhesions, both my ovaries got drilled, and got some dermoid cysts removed. has anybody had similar and can tell me how long it took to recover afterwards? its been 2 weeks for me and im still sore and am having bowel issues. also wot were ur next few periods like? did they come on time or were they a bit messed up for a while?
How do doctors check for endometriosis?
I have pretty much self diagnosed myself with endometriosis so I made a doctors appointment with my gynecologist to see what he thought about it. I will tell him my symptoms obviously, but then what will he do? How do doctors normally check for endo?

I am 18 years old, and have been suffering with endometriosis for the past year. nhs.uk conditions Endometriosis Pages Introduction.aspxWhen I am on my period just coming up to my period, I am in constant pain, have really heavy bleeding, clots, pelvic pain, back pain, severe abdominal pain, sickness, dizziness and I find it incredibly hard to do day to day things, even walking... I also have bleeding and lots of pain inbetween periods, and during sex.As a result, I miss school regularly, 1 3 times a week at least, at the moment, or sometimes I miss mornings, or have to go home early because of the pain. I also find it hard to even walk to school in the first place, and I have nobody to help give me lifts.I have been prescribed a new pill cerazette , which supposedly stops bleeding, and lots of strong anti inflamatories, painkillers etc. I have been in hospital dozens of times, but all they do is give me more painkillers, but they make me feel really sick, drowsy and dizzy.The pill seems to have made things worse. I have been taking it for almost four weeks, and every week for up to 4 days, I bleed heavily. Which is more than I used to and making things worse.I have an operation appointment in July, but it seems like so far away and I don't know how I will cope in my exams after missing school. Also, on top of endometriosis I have pre cancerous abnormalities on my cervix, which adds to the pain that I already have. I am having them removed in July, too . I am also anemic, and the loss of so much blood and iron makes me feel weak and faint.My teachers aren't understanding at all, and despite talking to my parents about the severity of my problem, and doctors notes hospital notes, they still make me feel crap and like it's my fault I'm missing school, but I really can't help it I am really concerned for my A levels, but luckily I am taking more a levels next year to make up for it, cos I feel like i'm gonna fail.Is anyone else going through a similar problem?This is making me really depressed and I feel helpless and hopeless all the time. I feel like nobody is supporting me or helping me to get through this. What can I do?
Endometriosis? Cysts? Help!?
2 days ago Saturday , me and my boyfriend had sex doggy style, sorry for being descriptive . It begun to hurt during so we stopped, and less than a minute after we stopped I started to cramp so bad I couldn't move. It felt like my insides were being twisted and it was unbearable. It is now Monday and it has gotten much better, but I am still sore in the lower abdomen, it hurts to push in that area, and I am bloated. I am also getting slightly nauseated, but it may be due to worrying about what this could be? Did my bf just hit my cervix too hard or tilt my uterus somehow? Or does this sound more like endometriosis or cysts? I am thinking about going to get a pap smear done but I am only 18 and do not feel comfortable telling my parents so I would like to get it done confidentially. Where could I do a pap smear for really cheap or even free? Thank you for any help in advance.
Endometriosis Help! Got my pathology report back and don't understand?
Right Fallopian tube, left fallopian tube, uterosacral ligament, right sacral, and anterior cul de sac they all say " peritoneal fibromembranous tissue with focal fibrosis containing endometrial stroma, consistant with endometriosis" . I do not understand. Can someone please enlighten me??? Thanks so much
