Other then birthcontrol whats a cure for endometriosis?
In alot of pain. I have Had 3 children. Im allergic to birthcontrol methods.

Can endometriosis be missed if a doctor is not looking for it?
I have suffered from pelvic pain and various other problems for the last 12 years. I am now thinking endometriosis might be a possibility, so I made an appointment with my doctor to discuss it. I had a laparoscopy surgery 6 years ago to remove an ovarian cyst. The nurse at my doctors office told me it is unlikely that I have endo, since they didnt see anything in that surgery. So my questions are...Would my doctor have even looked for endometriosis if it wasnt suspected? Would it have been obvious even if she wasnt looking for it? And if there was none visible back then, could it have developed since then?

Do I have endometriosis?
I've been having menstrual problems ever since I got my period around the age of 12 . I'm currently 16, and have been to two different gynecologists over the years. One was very vague and said it was probable endo, and the other really didn't give me an answer. Here are my symptoms. I'm on birth control constantly don't take placebo and my period still comes every two months or so eventually I start to feel pain again and the pill's effects die down. I've bled for 30 days straight while on birth control only when I take a break and get an extremely painful period does the pain go away. I bleed very heavily on my regular period, and it usually lasts 5 6 up to 7 days of pain. Usually 3 of those day's the pain is very bad, and out of those 3 days I can't walk move for 2 of them. My period pain is HORRIBLE, and I've near passed out from the cramping. I get back pain on my period, and it hurts to use the restroom. I have variable pains in my abdominal region and pelvis pain on my period BIGGEST CONFUSION for as long as I can remember, i'll have periods of time where I will be having cramps definite menstrual cramps while I'm NOT bleeding. This is what confuses the doctors. Even though the pain isn't as intense, it's still bothersome. As of now, I've been having cramps steadily getting worse for about 4 weeks without bleeding.I also have headaches every day, with strong ones every other day. Apart from this, I always feel tired, sluggish, and I have muscle pains. Basically I just feel pretty down in the dumps.Do I have endometriosis? And if this isn't endometriosis, what is it? I have an identical twin sister, and she has all the same menstrual problems but NOT the headaches tiredness leading my parents to think that the menstrual problems and my general health are two separate issues . Any idea's on what all of this is?

Do I have endometriosis?
I'm a 15 year old girl, virgin if that matters and I've had my period since I was 12. When I first started my period I was fine, and had no pain at all. After a while I had dull achy back pain that I could deal with without pain relief. Slowly my pain turned to sharp cramps in the space between my hips. This morning I woke up and felt fine, but after an hour I felt like I really had to go to the bathroom. I had terrible diarrhea, but as I normally have this with my period I didn't worry about it. I headed back to bed, only to have to run to the bathroom five minutes later for more diarrhea. This time, I had cold sweats and nausea as well. I sat in the bathroom for 25 minutes, feeling nauseated, dizzy and clammy, I could barely hold my head up, and thought I was going to faint. When I stood up I slipped from all the sweat on the floor. I headed to my bedroom and lay there, feeling pain like what I imagine labour would be like. I could feel the cramp beginning and then it would peak and I would be curled up in pain and then it would go and I would feel fine. This happened over and over, until I went to take a bath. I was deathly pale, and covered in sweat, yet I was shivering. The sweats and nausea stopped after my bath and I felt much better, but I'm worried as to why this happened. I have never had pain this severe before, and I'm wondering if it could be something underlying like endometriosis. My period wasn't even heavy. My sister is on the Pill for period pain, if that has anything to do with it. I just don't want to have to deal with this every month. It was like a short, violent bout of food poisoning. If anyone has any answers, please help

When did you know you had endometriosis?
Ok, my story is a little bit long but its important to me so bear with me. About 6 months ago I noticed that I was having some pain during sex and I would also get sharp pain during the first day or so of my period. I went to the Dr. to see what was wrong, she did a pelvic exam and I had an ultrasound which was completely normal so I didn't think anything of it. I was also massively constipated at the time for 3 weeks at a time so I figured that could be contributing to the pain because when I started taking miralax and senna laxatives the pain stopped. Now, 6 months later the pain is back. I noticed the last two times I've had sex which was about two weeks ago that I get pressure in my rectum which turns into cramping when we are done having sex. I went to the Dr. this morning to see what is going on and her first thought was endometriosis. She did a pelvic exam and said she couldn't feel any implants but sent me for an ultrasound. I know the ultrasound tech can't tell me anything for legal reasons because she was not a doctor but when she was doing the transvaginal ultrasound on my right side and I asked her if she saw anything she said everything looked normal then she went to my left side and I actually felt some sharp pain and asked her if she saw anything and she said that she didn't see anything that I should be worried about. Which of course, WORRIES ME My question to you is..when did you ladies find out you had endometriosis? What was the diagnoses process like until you officially found out? Did you have trouble getting pregnant? My boyfriend and I haven't been using birth control but we are not actively trying but we definately want kids so all of this terrifies me.

Managing symptoms of endometriosis?
I have been verbally diagnosed with endometriosis from my gynecologist. When not on birth control, I have symptoms of severe cramping and abdominal pain. It's gets to the point where I cannot close the button on my jeans or wear a seat belt in the car. My lower abdomen is very sensitive to pressure and touch. I get lower back pain, diarrhea, nausea, and my body temperature fluctuates. I will usually lose my appetite and not eat for the duration of it. Sometimes I'll feel feverish. Sometimes I'll feel like I'm freezing and can't get warm. When I take my temperature it's usually around 95 96 F. I also get dizzy and sometimes black out when I stand up. These symptoms usually last about two days each month, starting with cramping before my period, getting worse once my period starts, and then improving after the second day.Since I've been on birth control it's been better. I have still had cramps but the other symptoms have been more manageable. I've been on hormonal birth control for about 6 years now, but for some reason, things are getting worse again. For the past 6 12 months, I've been spotting through my birth control, and having those symptoms again. It doesn't happen every month, maybe every other, and the suffering doesn't last quite as long when it does happen. It's usually about 24 hours of misery before I start to feel better again. I have not changed brands so I'm not sure why this is happening. I would be okay with this except it's affecting my work. I've been missing work or not being able to fully function while I'm there. My job is fairly physical and all I want to do is lay down and curl up in the fetal position. I have to frequently change in and out of scrubs and the act of changing my pants makes me want to cry. I also feel like I should not be driving 30 miles to work without a seat belt.Is anyone else experiencing anything similar? Why do you think the birth control would manage my symptoms for so many years and then start to become ineffective? My doctor has suggested laprosopic surgery. Has anyone had this done? Was the procedure painful or traumatic for you? How was your recovery and did it help you feel better? Is there anything else I can do besides surgery to ease the symptoms? Pain medications seem to have little effect.

Is this endometriosis?
So I have been having health problems like cramping, back pain, and constant break through bleeding on the pill for the past year and a half. I had a laparoscopy where they said it was possible I had " microscopic endometriosis" but they couldn't tell for sure. I recently started taking a progesterone only pill, and most of my symptoms have cleared up. Does this mean that I 100 % have endo, or could it be something else?
