dysmenorrhea Information
I was prescribed BEYAZ for my dysmenorrhea (extremely painful period ) + Question?
i dont know much about birth control pills..im in my early twenties.. and the reason i went to the gyna.. was because whenever my period comes around i get excruciating pain in my legs.. and pelvis.. and all over.. a burning sensation.. and just really bad pain all over that region.. to the poitn where i am screaming out in pain.i usually take advil liqui gels for the pain which helps minimally..and so i really am considering going on the Beyaz..BUT i am not comfortable with being on a medication i have to take everyday..especially if it has side effects.CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME EXACTLY HOW BEYAZ WORKS.. AND HOW IT TREATS DYSMENORREA.. AND ALSO THE SIDE EFFECTS.. AND IF ITS WORTH IT?i dont even take medication for things i need.. like anxiety and depression medication..i try and treat everything naturally no matter what..and so i would only take something if i was 100 % certain abotu what it was doing and side effects..and if it was worth it..so if anyone knows about this .. please lend me your insight on the matter. thank u
I have dysmenorrhea and its really stressing me out.. help?
I first got my period when I was 10 nearly 11 and a year later I began getting moderate cramps and each year I guess it got worse and more worse, now I'm 15 and I get the worst cramps ever like on a scale of 1 10 the pain is a 10 Plus all the vomiting and everything, I basically can't do anything for 3 days. I miss school frequently because of it. When I was 13, I first went to the doctors and they said it was dysmenorrhea severe menstrual cramps and gave me naproxen EC and I got all happy thinking I was finally gonna have some peace in my life until to find out that it was temporary 'relief' but I still had enough pain to stop me from going to school each time I go back to the doctors they prescribe me with a different type of naproxen, I've take novo naproxen, mylan naproxec, and apo mefanamic or something like that and it hardly does any justice for me. I'm so tired and fed up with this, I cry and cry every single month.. I hate myself because of this. Its so stressful and overwhelming and I just want to be free of pain for once, I have enough stress in my life as it is. Please if you know if any medications that provide total relief... surgery or anything please help, I'm so desperate

If you have athletic dysmenorrhea, how long would it take to come back?
I highly, highly, highly doubt I have it. But if your period stopped from exercising too much, how long would it take to come back if you don't exercise?

I can't use NSAIDs long story. What other legal and prescribed over the counter painkillers could I take for severe dymenorrhea? This rules out ibuprofen in any form, as well as paracetamol tylenol.Checked for Endometriosis all clear just some killer cramps
I am pretty sure I have dysmenorrhea.?
I am pretty sure I have dysmenorrhea. I read in a few places that the severe pain I feel days before my period means that I have ovulated. " Symptoms of dysmenorrhea often begin immediately following ovulation and can last until the end of menstruation" . I am trying to become pregnant, so does this mean that if I had my husband ejaculate in me the day i start experiencing the pain until i actually start my period that I can become pregnant? I would really appreciate an answer on this and I thank you for your time.
Is dysmenorrhea like labor?
Im 32 weeks pregnant and the only thing Im scared of is the pain in labor. about 2 years ago I started getting HORRIBLE period pains. I finally went to the ER because they were so bad and was diagnosed with severe dysmenorrhea. well I was reading online that its very similar to labor pains. is that true? if it is I will be very relieved because I just want to know what labor feels like so I can prepare. I know moms say that period cramps are nothing like labor but my period cramps were much different than most womens. i used to get them light and just the achy feeling where it hurt and I didnt want to do anything but then they progressed into passing out and throwing up and horrible pain. I know how to deal with it now and how to breathe through it so if labor is anything like that Ill be surprisingly relieved does anyone know?? thank you ok I have to correct myself. the only thing Im scared of is not knowing how the pain in labor will feel. I know its going to hurt but I want to prepare myself. I keep telling myself I have to be prepared but I cant fathom it being any worse than my period pains wereIm having a water birth so I think Ill be pretty relaxed or i hope I will be my husband is pretty good at keeping me clam so hopefully he will be good at it in labor
Could I have dysmenorrhea or endometriosis?
I know most women dread their period, but I dread it more than any of my friends. I'm a senior in high school and ever since my first period I have always had severe cramping. It feels like someone is stabbing a knife in me. I can barely move, and I have to take off school and sometimes work. But the severe cramping really happens the first day and sometimes second. I do feel discomfort the rest of the period, but nothing compare to what I feel the first couple of days. I have to sit in the bathroom because the pain is so bad it causes me to vomit everything I try to eat. No pain killers help. I've tried pamprin, midol, motrin, ibprofin 800 and i was even given a vicodin, but i always end up just vomiting them up...Should I see a gynocologist? Or am I just super sensitive to pain? Every period I have I just want to die. I just feel weak everywhere. During my last period my boyfriend had to carry me to the bathroom because I just couldn't walk. I sweat like crazy and like I said, just really lethargic and I feel sore and weak. and idk if this has anything to do with anything menstrual related, and its sorta gross, but sometimes I even get diahrea. Idk if its something to do with the severe pain, but I always get it during my period. Though it goes away as the pain does. Also, my cramps get worse when I have to take a car ride, does this happen to anyone else? I think its all the bumps and being jostled around...Please help. If this doesn't sound like dysmenorrhea or endometriosis please tell me. I really don't want anything to be wrong with me haha.and ask away, I don't mind answering any questions you have.
Extreme menstrual pain due to dysmenorrhea.?
so, im 19, and i have some female issues dysmenorrhea and menorrhagia. simply put, dysmenorrhea causes excrutiating pain and nausea while i am on my period. menorrhagia causes my bleeding to be extremely heavy tampon and pad soaked in 45 minutes to an hour.im on seasonique birth control, and due to start bleeding tuesday or wednesday. my major problem is, this is also my first week of a new semester in college, and i cannot miss class.i cant take narcotic painkillers due to bad side effects, so my doctor instructed me to take 800 mg of ibuprofen, wait 4 hours, take 1500 mg acetaminophen, and repeat the cycle every 4 hours. unfortunately, this doesnt always work and im still left in extreme pain.do you ladies have any tips for pain management? i cannot miss class, and i will be in classes from 8 am to 1 30 pm with NO breaks, so hot baths and heating pads are out of the question.please help. and thank you.
Severe dysmenorrhea. What STRONG medication can i take for it?
I used to take advil ibuprofen before my period and continue to use it until the third day. it would reduce the pain but i would still have diarrhea and vomiting. over time, the advil stopped working for me completely. i then switched to Pamprin acetaminophen, pamabrom, pyrilamine maleate it worked like MAGIC for me at first but then a few periods later it stopped working completely and i basically lost hope.yesterday i went to the doctor and she gave me buscopan butylscopolamine along with mefenamic acid, but i searched that online and found its for mild menstrual cramps and mine are severe. i also need something that would stop my vomiting and diarrhea but those are the side effects for it.she refused to prescribe me with birth control or anything that would work against the progesterone in the body because she said i was too young i live in the middle east, so her religious views are understandable i really need something stronger. she said mefenamic acid was the only medication she can give me and that if i really cannot withstand the pain then i should come in for an injection every month... that ISN'T an option because i have EXAMS next monthi searched online and saw that there ARE other medications such as Naproxen, Hydrocodone acetaminophen and Diclofenac that can be used.are these good for severe dysmenorrhea and will they help with the vomiting and diarrhea?thank you
