I went in for an MRI and one of the diagnosis was Sigmoid diverticulosis

Yep...that's me.....after my last colonoscopy, that's what the doc saidKind of embarrassing......with all the starvation going on in the world.I hope I've got my " diverticuli" word correct .. " osis" ..not " itis" .....it's just the pockets..I don't have any inflammation or infection of them yet And I've got more colon than I need?......so?......is that dangerous?...I AM constipated a lot So, what should I do? aside from keeping it quiet

last november I was having some awful pain in my upper abdomen right there by the heart, so I went to see a cardiologist and he took some CTA of my upper abdomen heart area , and lower abdomenhad some EKG test too and he found nothing with the heart, so what he did find was something in my colon wall he called it diverticula some kind of pouches in the colon, so he refered me over to a gastrointestinal doctor to check it out, but my insurance had ran out, I am still suffering from this symptoms, what is the worse case scenario with this illness.

I am expewrienceing an uncomfortable episode of diverticulosis. My Dr has taken me off vegtable broth and apple juice and has limited me to chicken broth and some carbohydrates that we don't eat on the grey sheet for the next 7 days. Has anyone been sucessful in managing an episode of diveticulitis WITHOUT loosing Grey Sheet abstinance ? If so, will you share what it is you did ? I followed the greysheet recomendations for colon problems with a 5 day liquid fast and the episode did not improve. Can you help me ?? Thanks Suzi S
With diverticulosis, what foods should I absolutely avoid?
I know the most common foods to avoid, seeds, corn, etc. But what other foods are absolutely necessary to avoid?what about tomatoes? cucumber, chili peppers, pickles? and should ALL nuts be avoided or just the smaller ones?should I give up salsa completely too?
Why is constipation such a major problem in diverticulosis?
For the past month I have been having rectal bleeding and major constipation problems. The constipation is so bad that I thought I had an intestinal blockage. I had a colonoscopy and was diagnosis with diverticulosis and I was told that this is why constipation is such a major problem. I have been prescribed fiber supplements and stool softeners, but can anyone please explain and tell me why constipation occurs in diverticulosis?Also, is diverticulosis a permanent problem, or does it eventually go away? Thanks very much for your help.
Does Anyone have Diverticulosis?
My husband suffers from extreme abdominal pain, cramping, IBS irritable bowel syndrome fatigue and bleeding in the stool. He was diagnosed with diverticulosis and has been feeling worse every month. the doctors always act like there is nothing to do but take pain meds the rest of his life, but it's so bad that he cant even find work anymore. I was hoping there may be someone out there with the same diagnosis who can share any advise or thoughts as I completly believe there must me SOMETHING he can do to manage his discomfort.yes, he had a colonoscopy, thats how they found the diverticulosis. he will be seeing the specialist again, but we hold no faith as this health care systom we have seems to be a joke, his personal MD is fantastic, but he refers him to specialists for further help and he gets treated like a door mat. Im so frustrated, Im in tears, Im frantic to find answers and when I research online I get no more help then fiber. He has all the severe symptoms of diverticulitis except fever and he has " episodes" that last a week about every 3 weeks, always followed by intense cramping and bleeding for about 3 days
