How to treat/cure/recover from a possible case of delirium?
I've extensively researched what may be the problem with which I am continuously confronted on a daily basis, and I am strongly convinced that what I have is delirium although I have yet to confirm this with a doctor .For instance, I've noticed that I wake up in the morning in a normal 'state of mind' and I continue to be in such until I think about 'it', and once I do, it inevitably occurs, and I instantly lose my train of thought in other words, my necessary thinking skills which I require for such things as school, work, and even social interaction for a temporary period of time until I can somehow manage to retrieve the normal 'state of mind' again. However, this is not without difficulty. So what I'm asking you is other than prescription drugs and such, are there any ways to prevent this from occurring?

Extreme violent throwing up and delirium on older brother said he smoked pot for first time?
first time, it's just pot, is it even possible that that's what did it. He said few puffs, he's never smoked it before that I know, but is over 40 years old, any ideas on what that's about. He hadn't drank anything alcohol, and is passed out now.
Do I have delirium? Is it serious?
I heard the word for the first time today while my psychiatrist was making an appointment for me to go get psychiatric testing. My psychiatrist said I had " anxiety, plus or minus delirium" .After researching the syndrome online I realized I have been putting off seeing a doctor, due to my anxiety, to fix certain problems that I have that may be causing my delirium if I have it the ongoing sensation of always having to pee I've had it for more than 4 years now possibly due to a urinary tract infection , the muscles around my eyes always feeling tired possibly due to bad vision , and my increasingly erratic breathing as the day progresses I read somewhere that this increases ammonia in the blood stream .I feel irate, I'm unorganized, I have no immediate goals, when I start something I don't finish it and quickly move on to something else I'm currently trying to teach myself programming and 3d rendering I start off reading a book about Python programming then after reading a few chapters I begin reading another book about Java programming , and I have trouble focusing I try and do everything, but end up doing nothing.I'm currently unemployed never had a job and not attending school I gave myself a one semester hiatus as I try to cure what's wrong with me .Having delirium scares me. Will I develop Alzheimer's disease and dementia later on in life? Am I becoming stupid?I'm also scared of the medication I need to take my psychiatrist wants to bump up my risperdone dosage to 1 mg a day and my fluoxetine hcl dosage to 40 mg a day. Is this too much? What's psychiatric testing like? I'll feel very insecure if they try and measure my IQ I guess I have this delusion of being a genius even though I know my IQ is somewhere between 98 105 I hate being labeled with a number that defines my limitations.

What causes episodes of delirium? Only good answers please.?
For a number of years I have had episodes where i may be speaking to someone but then i just go blank and i can't form any words & if i try to write nonsense comes out, it feels like it lasts for hours but it is in fact some seconds. However for the past 4 years it has gotten worst where it has reached to the point of me feeling panicky sometimes before it comes on, or it just comes on suddenly. My husband also says it occurs in my sleep where i scream out, thrash about & wet myself i have even had an episode whereby i blanked out while driving . Please if there's anyone out there who has an idea of what this is, let me know. My marriage is on the line right now.
