Can sugar cure cyanide poisoning?
Someone on yahoo answers typed that if a person has consumed cyanide, they could consume a lot of sugar to prevent the cyanide from killing them. He mentioned something about cyanide preventing sugar from turning into ATP energy. He also mentioned that it was possible to live if you consume a lot of sugar as the cyanide would not be able to stop that much sugar.
Should i be worried i think i may have cyanide poisoning due to ingesting bitter almond?
well, a while ago a friend told me about this weigth loss thing she tried it was this " almond" that her aunt would go to mexico to get and then sell them for like $30 $40 each one and that theyre for weight loss, put she would just grab some for us and she would always bring me the almond cut already like into like 20 or less little pieces and to take one each morning. well it been going on for over 2 months, and this last time she brought the almond to my house to cut it and too my surprice it didnt really look too much like an almond it was like circleish and kinda flat. and i remember wen i tasted it once wen i swallowed a piece of almond it had a bitter taste to it. so i started googleing and reading about bitter almond and it having cyanide poison. i dont know if wat i have been taking is bitter almond but she said it was an almond and it was bitter and the shape kinda fit the description. well the reason im asking is bc like today i took the last piece from the one she had brought me and she said she would bring me more soon but now i dont even know if i should take it. i havent really lost much weight like maybe 2 3 lbs but i just seem to gain and loose em.but i have been feeling kinda tired and weak and i get sort of dizzy wen i loook at my computer screen or pretty much anything for too long, its a very weird feeling my head feels funny, i guess dizzy would be the best way to describe it. and these seem to be some of the symptoms of cyanide poisoning, but i have been taking small pieces of the almond over the period of about 2 months. i dont think its due to my age im 20yr old female....should i be worried?sorry for the bad spelling

also by my murderer getting away with it is that more or less likely, is it easiliy traceable. not considering putting this part in the book unless it's possible can my character getting poisioned survive it through some remedy

Peach pits and cyanide poisoning?
A friend and I got into an argument over the toxicity of peach pits her dog almost ate one . Our questions are How many peach pits would one have to eat to be fatal? theoretically I don t think anyone would want to eat peach pits My argument was that one would not kill the dog, though it may cause him considerable discomfort. Is the cyanide in the white powder within the pit? If not, what part of the pit contains the highest concentration of cyanide?Thanks
