How does my son continue to catch croup?
He had it Jan 2, 2012 and was hospitalized overnight. It cleared up in less than a week. Yesterday he started this terrible cough, he's starting to rattle and the doc wont see him til morning. What can i do or give him to ease the cough and help him breathe? If it gets too bad ill take him to the ER. But what can i do to soothe him and how does this keep happening?he sounds like a seal while breathing and he's 8 months.
How to tell the difference between laryngitis and croup cough?
So i went to my doctors and he said that i either have croup cough or laryngitis How do you tell the difference between all of them?? My age is 12 but i read online that croup can go up to age 15

I've been on Ventolin and Flovent since yesterday two puff in the morning two at night each I have asthma that affects me mostly when I'm sick so me puffers always expire, the rest the virus and the head cold I have to let pass he said it sounds like I have croup even though it is a children's disease and I'm 19. I feel horrible I'm congested, really short of breath all the time, I have a never ending headache that Tylenol won't touch, I have a chest sounding cough a lot went ever I do pretty much anything other then sitting which leaves me even more short of breath, my nose is running like crazy and a bunch more symptoms. Help I want too feel better?
Will a 4 year old that has croup be ok...?
he went to the er the night before for croup and i got awaken to find out they were rushing him back down in the van,,,the chances of him having whopping cough is high from his cough he has had all his shots and all im scared for him..i keep thinking what if??? has 4 years olds ever died from it it will be the beginning of whooping cough the Dr's said it was croup but without doubt it turned into the bad cough..someone tell me he will be ok please hes my baby my one and only little man...thanks for anyone that can help
My 7 month old has croup cough?
My 7th month old baby have a severe croup cough, we already bring her to the hospital for check up but the doctor only give medicine for throat infection. What other options or medicines I can give to my daughter as I am very worried and it really breaks my heart everytime i heard her cough.

Symptoms of croup vs. pneumonia?
My daughter 14 months old was diagnosed with an ear infection and the croup last monday and prescribed antibiotics for the ear infection and steroids for the croup well its almost been a week and if anything she is worse and Im concerned she has pneumonia. She had a slight fever last week that went away but still has this cough that sounds really " wet" and is slowly getting worse especially at night and a really runny nose and she is waking up all hours of the night, shes just miserable Im bringing her back to the doctor tomorrow but in the mean time I was wondering if there were any telltale signs that it is pneumonia? What are the different symptoms between croup and pneumonia for a 1 year old?She was prescribed amoxicillin for the ear infection 2x's a day for a week and prednisone for the croup 1x a day for 2 days.

my son is 3, he's had croup since Sunday, has no energy, doesn't want to eat, wants to sleep n has a fever from 99.8 101 off and on. Do I go to a doc or wait till his fever gets higher?

How common is Adult Croup?
I am in my twenties, and ever since I was very young, almost every cold I've ever had turns into the croup. And naturally since almost everyone I've been in contact with lately seems to be sick with something, I've been feeling a cold coming on. It always starts the same. I wake up one day with a sore throat and that lasts all day, then the next day it's a more severe sore throat with BAD post nasal drip plus a stuffed up nose, and now today I'm feeling the tightness in my airways, lots of drainage, and the beginnings of the barking cough. I know that tomorrow I'll probably have a full on croup. Sometimes I end up having to go to the doctor for it, and very rarely the hospital, because my airways get so tight. The last time I went to the hospital for this, which was about 4 years ago, the ER nurses were flabbergasted that I could have the croup at my age. Has anyone else had any experience with this before or does anyone know why this would happen to my as an adult?

Can my baby catch croup from her cousin?My mother in Law is looking after my daughters 8 year old cousin as he's home from school with croup. She wants to bring him over for a visit tomorrow with my 6 month daughter, could my baby catch croup from her cousin? Should I ask my mother in law not to come?
