3 medications for congestive heart failure for my 12 year old malteese?
she is on a diuretic to reduce fluid in the lungs. furcsemide 20 mg ... She is also on a blood presure med Enalapril ...and Vetmedin, to help her heart beat stronger. Wouldn't the Enalapril and the Vetmedin counteract eachother???

My grandma has congestive heart failure?
We live 6 hrs away from her & the rest of my dad's side of the family so it's hard saying goodbye when we visit. She has congestive heart failure and has lost a lot of weight she only weighs around 109 lbs . My aunt told me she also has dementia. My grandma doesnt eat or drink much at all. She gets out of breath very easily. It was a shock seeing how she is for the first time. Since i rarely see her it seemed so sudden. She used to be so much more full of energy. My grandparents dont have a computer so we cant skype but we can talk on the phone. My dad & i are visiting but we're leaving tomorrow and its going to be hard Last time we visited my cousin said " it might be the last time u see grandma" . Is it possible my grandma could get better? She was in the hospital a week ago and my cousin said she didnt even look like herself & she had to leave the room when she saw her

it was something that happened so quick filling up with fluids etc and nothing could have been done.my question is i have been looking online about congestive heart failure and most of the websites say it happens " over a period of time" .my mom routinely went to cardiologists for checkups and never had any bad " reviews" .not even the beginning of CHF.i guess i want to know for my self is it something that can happen suddenly or does it alwasy build up over time?thank you.i am really devestated by my moms death and dont know how to move on...she was my life.i dont know anything about medical stuff.just hoping some of you have the knowledge.i am lost without my mom especially right near the holidays.the" firsts" of everything without her are going to be really tough
Help! My dad has congestive heart failure!?
My dad was diagnosed with congestive heart failure about a week ago and my mom and I are very scared about his future. He is pretty young, 52 years old and a diabetic. Doctors told him he has an enlarged heart and was put in diuretics to get rid of the fluids around his heart and lungs. He was released from the hospital 4 days after and had been improving since then. He is able to walk, just at a slower pace than normal people are. He tell me he does not feel out of breath anymore but i don't know if to believe him or not. If he begins to take care of himself and follow a strict no sodium diet will he be able to live a normal life?
