Worried about Cirrhosis?? Been drinking heavily for years!! Please advise.?
Have been drinking 1 2 bottles of a wine every night for the past 7 years or so and although i have given it up for good i am now really worried about having cirrhosis of the liver I read of so many different stories, some people whom have been heavy alcoholics for 15 20 years who never develop it and make full recovery or maybe someone who has only been drinking moderately for just a few years and develops it. Then i also read it usually takes at least 10 years to develop it.I'm just wondering what are my chances of full recovery now that i have stopped? Or am i likely to have left it too late? Please advise. Thanks.
