I was diagnosed with cellulitis in my breast over a week ago there is a mass in the breast. Should I worry?
The infection seems to be gone but I still have quite a bit of pain and the mass has not shrunk and is still hard. My doctor doesn't think it is an abscess.

My grandmother whom I live with has been suffering from cellulitis in her legs for more than a year now. If you were to google the ailment, all of those really nasty pics could be likened to her current condition. She went to the hospital for intravenous treatment over a year ago, and it was doing well then, until the doctor sent her home with a prescription for oral antibiotics. Needless to say the infection flared up worse for some reason, and she then sought help from a dermatologist who's been prescribing her a topical ointment for months and months now. She has to bandage her legs everyday to keep the yellow ooze from getting everywhere, and now it's spreading to her foot. She's in pain all of the time, but refuses to go back to a hospital because she picked the disease up from one facility for a prior health scare to begin with. I have no idea what to do to help her besides go out to pick up her ointment, buy her bandages and try to keep her from crying everyday. If you even mention a seeing a new doctor she gets frustrated and won't listen. She's a very smart woman with all of her faculties, but she's just through with specialists with the exception of ordering the prescription ointment. I'm afraid this won't just go away on it's own now, I know it won't. I have no fucking clue of what to do and it's driving me crazy in a multitude of ways. Can anybody offer advice?

My dad was diagnosed w cellulitis of the hand and was on IV Maxipime for 10 days, but the doctor didn't prescribe oral antibiotics after the IV treatment was finished. His hand is still red, so I want to know what is a good PO antibiotic following the initial parenteral treatment?

What can i do i got cellulitis in my toe?
It all started with pain in my toe by the second day it was swollen and red and very painful , i went to th ER to get it checked they gave me antibiotics bactrin and some other one plus pain meds , its been 2 days since i started taking the meds and its not getting better actually is getting worst , i saw some pus coming out and i tried to squezze it out but it still draining and it seems its open What should i do Should i go bk to the ER ? How can I soothe cellulitis of the ear?
I've had cellulitis of the ear for the past four days. It's very, very painful. I've almost been crying all day for the past four days as well. I started antibiotics two days ago. It's slowly getting less swollen, but the pain meds they prescribed are not helping at all. If anything, they just make it feel worse. Please, is there some kind of over the counter ointment specifically for cellulitis or other skin infections? I don't have much money to spend. I just want relief from this I can't think, I can't sleep, I can't even laugh or talk 'cause it hurts when I move my face.
Cellulitis, fungal infection or the start of a pilodinal sinus?
Hi. Sorry to be so graphic so if you're squeamish look away now I have had this problem once last year but it cleared up on its own, now its back again. Above my anus up to the top of my gluteal cleft the skin is red and inflamed. If I part the cheeks to examine it I can smell the clear discharge which it tends to leak, and its an odd smell.I've not been to the doctors yet, I know its silly but its an embarrassing issue and I'm also not sure if I need to go if its just fungal as I don't want to waste their time when I could get remedies over the counter. The skin where it is red is moist with a dry border and quite warm to the touch.There is almost a raised rougher border around the inner pink lighter red area, and this border is a much angrier looking red. I shower daily but when patting the area dry it makes it very sore and itchy. I'm paranoid about the smell now, its almost like I'm sweating but its not sweat and the fluid is coming from the skin rather than my anus. Even with cotton underwear it continues to itch and sting. Its not directly in or around my anus and bowel movements do not affect it. Is this a fungal infection or more like cellulitis or a staph strep issue? I have heard similar stories where it has developed into a pilodinal sinus or cyst.The size gets bigger or smaller from day to day almost like a rash would.Extra potentially helpful info I am 21, female and not intolerant or allergic to anything. I make sure I wipe properly and I shower daily dry thoroughly. My dietary habits have not changed, I don't eat spicy foods and I eat good amounts of dietary fibre. Not on any medications and no health problems.Today it is lighter pink and less angry looking which makes me wonder if it will go away on its own again.Although the pink area on the insides of my buttock cheeks spreads down to in between my legs but stops when its roughly in line with my vaginal opening. However the lower down torwards my legs it goes, the redder and hotter it is you can feel the heat radiating . Sorry for the vulgar details There is no lump or swelling and its not painful like pressurised etc but more sore from irritation if that makes sense. Can a cyst occur without a noticeable lump swelling?
Cellulitis Having pain after?
I have been suffering with cellulitis for the past 2 weeks. It started in my finger and travelled up my arm to my node in my armpit. I have had iv antibiotics and also oral antibiotics. I have lost a stone in weight due to D & V caused by the cellulitis. The problem is I am still experiencing pain in my arm where the redness once was is this normal? really worried.

I am thirteen years old and I have cellulitis on my butt,well only one and I am fit and work out a lot and I don't have a oversized or anything is that normal?pleas help it makes me feel so ugly. But since it's on my butt it's not that big of a deal because other people will not see but I want it to be gone for myself.
