1 yr old daughter just diagnosed with bronchiolitis...?
so my daughter started getting sick about a month ago and i took her to 4 different doctors all of which said it was a upper respitory infection, gave her prednizone, albuterol and amoxicillian not all at the same time then she started wheezing really bad last week so i carried her to the ER...same thing..they said it was a URI and gave me amoxicillian and called it a day, well daycare called me today and said that she was wheezing real bad and couldnt catch her breath so i finally took her to the ER in whole different town 45 minutes away to see if they could help...finally they diagnosed her with brochiolitis which is caused from RSV, which they didnt catch the last 4 times i took her, well they gave her an inhaler with a spacer and thats it...however im worried about her, i mean i dont even understand how she got it, ive never smoked around her and shes always dressed properly for the weather...can anyone give me some words of encouragement either from having a child that has had it or if your a medical professional and tell me how to ensure she gets well fast.... im just one of those paranoid first time moms...that really needs some help

hey guys, my 1 yr old has had his 2nd round of bronchiolitis in 3 weeks. dr has prescribed redipred for him. has anyone used this for bronchiolitis and was it affective? the thought of giving him steroids freaks me out a bit. he is still eating and feeding well enough and still quite happy in himself. but the breathing rapidly and the wheeze is horrible.. thanx guys.to elptl... cant work out how to save you to my contacts. thanx for the info. wondered if dairy could be the source because i have only just started to introduce it. but i breastfeed so wouldnt the symptons have started when he was younger. i posted a question the other day about him screaming but only at night. could this be the reason to?????
My 4 month old son has a productive cough and is wheezing...is this pneumonia or bronchiolitis again?
I'm more on the naturalist side and I don't like to use a lot of medicine or antibiotics on my children because of the long term effects. I don't deny that they work short term, but I like to avoid it if I can. I took my 3 kids 4, 2 & 4 months into the doctor in mid February. My older two had pneumonia and my 4 month old son had bronchiolitis. My doctor gave me breathing treatments with medication for him and I used it. He ended up getting shaky and spaz y however you spell that and I really wasn't comfortable with all the side effects. So, this time I bought something from the health food store called 'colloidal silver'. I've done a lot of reading on it and I feel more comfortable with this than medication or antibiotics. You can take it oraly or use it with a nebulizer. My question is...if my son has a productive cough and is wheezing at times and sounds tight in the chest, how serious could this be? He doesn't have a fever and he's eating and acting normal otherwise. Help please
I have bronchiolitis and i'm a teenager?
I would like some tips to get better and all since i haven't found any information on how to treat it for a teenager. I had a fever not too high for about 3 days and it hurt the lower part of my lungs when i coughed, now i am so exhausted and when i cough which is frequent it hurts the part of the lungs near my heart, and i can barley sleep at all. I am wondering is it a good idea to go to school? what should i eat? my school has millions of stairs can i do it? how long till i recover? should i see a doctor?I don't have an inhalor or asthma..............

I ALREADY TOOK MY 2 YR OLD TO THE DOC TODAY AND HE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BRONCHIOLITIS. HE WAS RUNNING AROUND AT THAT TIME AND DIDN'T SOUND THIS BAD. HE'S ON ALBUTEROL BUT IT DIDN'T SEEM TO HELP THAT MUCH. HIS OXYGEN WAS 98 % IN THE OFFICE AND HIS COLOR LOOKS GOOD.
My son ho was born premature at 26 weeks keeps getting bronchiolitis and impetigo. what can i do to help?
My son who was born premature at 26 weeks last august has gone through a series of bronchiolitis. He was hospitalized on two occasions. Even as i write he is very weezy and mucusy. To make matters worse he also has impetigo which keeps re appearing. He has gone through a course of co amoxyclav and that temporarely cleared the skin, but now after a week red patches are showing up again. I realy dont fancy giving him a coctail of antibiotics, as his immune system is pretty weak. He is fully breastfed, is there anything i can take or give him to streangthen his immune system and cure his ailments? any alternative therapy?I would really appreciate some serious answers . thank you

How is Respiratory Bronchiolitis treated?
My boy friend was just diagnosed with Respiratory bronchiolitis ... all the doctor gave him was an inhaler.... shouldn't he have been given some type of antibiotic?how is this usually treated?
