blepharitis Information
Topradex and blepharitis?
ok so after i undertook the lasik operation i contracted shortly afterwards this condition called " blepharitis" .The main symptoms were crustiness between the eyelashes and some inflammation in the eyes. Now at that time my doctor recommended using topradex cortisone antibiotic for a week and see how it went. And so i did, and immediately after a few days i noticed that the inflammation and the crustiness had disappeared. When i stopped using topradex, the blepharitis came back with a vengeance. Now i wake everyday with horrible eye inflammation and redness in the eyes, but once i apply an ointment they quickly disappear. the crustiness is slightly back but minimal compared to before. Now my doctor wants me back on topradex, only that he wants me to use it for two times a week. Now i have some concerns about using cortisone and antibiotics for an extended period of time develop antibiot resistance? , but my doctor assures me that 2 times a week is perfectly safe and that i have nothing to worry about. Should I trust him?
I have blepharitis, i cried, i lost atleast 10 lashes and my eyes burned really bad,im scared?
what should i do
Is staphylococcal blepharitis curable and what other factors cause it?
I am currently trying to get rid of this and it's working, but takes forever. One thing I saw that kind of frightened me was someone saying that this isn't curable but my doctor told me that mine was since mine was caused by staph. I remember that I got this from what I strongly believe was eyeliner and shadow that I didn't wash off and I have a bad habit of being lazy and not washing my eye make up off the lids. I asked if it was caused by dandruff or could it possibly be ocular rosacea and said no to both. The other thing I remember was that it's both anterior and posterior blepharitis. I really hope that this can be cured. But what factors could this to happen? The eye docs thought that this was allergies at first too. Can blepharitis be mistaken for allergies?
What is blepharitis pleaseeeeeeeee?

Is it pink eye or blepharitis?
I had extremely severe blepharitis about seven years ago, and occasionally have issues with it now, as well as getting styes pretty often on my left eye.A couple days ago, I started getting light sensitive in that eye, and it turned pinkish. My eye is watering and feels tired. I also have a runny nose.I know the " one red eye and a runny nose" thing is often indicative of pink eye, but there's also a chance I'm just sick, which happens to me when the weather changes drastically I've been sneezing a bit and feeling extra tired . Since I have chronic blepharitis non pinkeye eye problems and I have the whole " crusting at the base of eyelashes" thing that's unique to blepharitis I'm thinking it might be that. I know I should probably go to the doctor, and will do so ASAP, but I guess I want to know A From the info I gave, what does it sound like to you guys? If there's any other info that would be helpful, just let me know B Since blepharitis can be caused by bacteria, could a bacterial illness make it worse? That's what I think is going on sinusitis or something, which is then exacerbating my blepharitis , but maybe I'm just in denial because I REALLY don't want it to be pink eye. Thanks in advance

Pink eye or blepharitis?
About a month ago, I woke up with watery, red eyes with discharge. I went to the doctor that afternoon, who said it was related to a viral infection of my sinuses. Since I'd had the sinus infection for a week, she prescribed an oral antibiotic. That night and the next morning, I woke up with my lids stuck together from the discharge. After a day or two on the anti biotic and a few days of warm compresses , my eyes felt much better, but the redness lasted for a good week or so.About three weeks ago, I went to the eye doctor for something unrelated to the symptoms above and was diagnosed with meibomianitis with a touch of blepharitis. She told me to do warm compresses and massages, and gave me Moxeza for the blepharitis bacteria. This morning, I woke up again to red eyes with slight discharge and a tad watery. I had a little Moxeza left over, so I used it after washing away the discharge in the shower this morning. I haven't had any discharge since though I have had the frothy tears in the corner of my eyes from the meibomianitis . My eyes and margins are still very red, no discharge, not watery, no pain, and I just used the last of the Moxeza drops one drop in each eye twice today . Does it sound like I have pink eye, blepharitis, both, etc???? My 9 month old daughter developed pink eye over a week after I did a month ago. We suspect that she got it from her sitter's children, who developed it before she did. My husband never got it. I'm pretty desperate for them NOT to get it this time.

Blepharitis!! eyelash loss and burning, help!!?
Hi, About 2 months ago, the eye doctor diagnosed me with blepharitis but said with cleansing and such i should see an improvement in 2 weeks...I really didnt have any symptoms then, other than some eyelash loss and some growing in crookedly. Well, he was dead wrong, and i'm still losing ALOT of eyelashes and they are still coming in crookedly and have lost pigment alot too for some reason. I also have occaisonally burning or stinging and my eyelids don't look swollen but are veiny and red sometimes. Since the time he diagnosed me I've been washing my eyes alot with baby shampoo, doing hot compresses, taking omega3 tablets everyday, and i wear absolutly no makeup. It's getting worse and so is my loss of eyelashes and i dont know what to do anymore please help

Blepharitis or need glasses?
Hi, Exactly a month ago I woke up with sensitivity to light and blurred vision. Blurred vision looking across a room distance. I saw an opthamologist the very next day. He said I have blepharitis and had 20 20 vision. I did the bleph regimen of lid scrubs and warm compress massages and eye drops for a month. The only thing that improved was sensitivity to light. Still have the blurred vision. The blurred vision seems consistent. In other words, even if I blink my eyes a lot and try to focus, the blur in the distance doesn't improve. I feel upset and panicked that whatever this is, is not clearing up.My family is suggesting I may need glasses. But why did the Opthamologist say my vision is 20 20? Can bleph cause seemingly consistent blur? I'm not sure what to do next. Please help.
