How long does it take to get lab results back for rheumatoid arthritis?
My mom has been experiencing painful, stiff joints. She woke up with them about 3 days ago. She went to the doctor the day after she started experiencing the symptoms and they wanted to run labs to test for rheumatoid arthritis lupus. It has been 2 days since the visit to the doctor and they have not called her back to tell her the results. How long would it usually take to get the results back? Thanks
I'm only 18, possible to have rheumatoid arthritis?
I'm not sure if that's what I have... but I think my hands look like it. Maybe an early stage, not like those horror pictures that you see on the internet of old people with horribly deformed hands. But my finger joints are definitely noticably enlarged and look a bit like crypt keeper hands, and my fingers themselves are starting to look a little crooked and ugly. No one else notices, and when I ask them they say, oh, it's probably just because you're skinny though I'm average weight for my height . First noticed it about 3 or 4 years ago but seems to have been getting progressively worse... I've also cracked my fingers in many ways since elementary school, probably on a daily basis as a nervous habit also have social anxiety . My joints are definitely stiff in my fingers, which is horribly scary to me as I play guitar and piano and also use a computer keyboard on a daily basis. Also am enduring pretty bad knee, back and neck pain and problems. Should I be worried, could this be the infamous rheumatoid arthritis? If it is, is there any way that my fingers can be fixed and I can go on playing guitar and piano without getting very noticeable pain and stiffness after only about 15 minutes? Do bone spurs (osteophytes) confirm the presence of arthritis?
Or is it possible for you to have osteophytes without having arthritis, or without the fear of developing arthritis in the future?
I have some kind of arthritis in my neck and cracking my neck makes it feel better. How do I stop it?

I've been popping my knuckles since 2nd grade I'm now 19 and every now and then my knuckles will kill me like now flexin my fingers back in forth kind of hurt how can I find out if I really have arthritis? I'm guessing my doctor but I hate the damn doctors.

The doc seemed to think it was a nerve problem. Would an MRI or CAT help diagnosis the problem? What about a cortisone injection inn the region?

Which vitamins and pills can cause arthritis stiff fingers?
I am in my early 30s and have been experiencing a painful bout of stiff fingers, which is uncommon for me. I am taking One A Day multivitamin, a vitamin D pill, two fish oil pills, and an iron pill. I think I am having an allergic reaction to one of these, at first I was waking up with a stiff finger and now in the morning, both of my hands are stiff, arthritic, and swollen. Inflammation is intense, which is odd as most of these vitamins are supposed to help or prevent that. I stopped the fish oil pills as I was reading they could be the culprit, I'm not sure how many days you are supposed to get off of them for them to be " out of your system" , or any of these other vitamins for that matter. I am in pain so process of elimination could take a while. Anyone have any ideas offhand which one it could be, or have a similar experience they have insight about? Thanks.
Does hip arthritis ever go away?
Well I'm a sophomore in high school, bright future ahead of me with sports and academics also. But I'm in the band, I run track, play basketball, and softball also. So I have scouts looking at me already for track, so I just found out that I had this , and it all started with a hamstring pull, the pain went down to my knee, went to therapy for 6 wks on my knee and then my hip started hurting. I know for a fact therapy messed it up and aggravated it, but all in all I just wanted to know does hip arthritis go away??
My Dad is on dla he has arthritis and many other ailments he is 83 he has been offered a mobility car.?
He can't drive but my sister runs him about in her own car,but if they take up the offer can she also use it for work she only works 15 hours a week but already drives both my parents for shopping, hospital and does a lot for them.Don't want them getting into trouble so if it's fraud they won't do it as they are very honest.
