Can ankylosing spondylitis effect teeth?
I have some serious molar problems, had one removed due to desperation because of infection, and now my wisdom tooth is doing the same thing. All of my wisdom teeth are almost compact, and most of my molars are decaying away. I am just curious to if there is any connection between ankylosing spondylitis and Tooth Decay? Would be interested to find out if i can claim the Chronic Disease Medicare assistance, as i have to have about $5000 worth of work done

I am 28 and have thought for a long time that I suffered from RA but just found out it is SA because of the years of misdiagnoses it has attacked my entire body I am getting an MRI next week on my hips and spine to see what damage it has cause has anyone else had any experience with this disease?

Okay I am 16 male, and I have been have very mild what I would consider pain in my back or spine. Also I looked in the mirrior before taking a bath the other day and I noticed red spots exactly were my lower spine bones are the lower area of your spine where you can see bumbs I don't know exactly how this diease is caused or if what I listed where any symptoms of it, I am just aware of what the disease is and I am afraid of getting it. I don't know if I have the certain gene that carries the disease though. If anyone in the medical field is aware of this question and has information on this disease please let me know in the answers. thanks
Which unprescripted medicine do you find most effective for ankylosing spondylitis?
I have tried several Nsaid's and none of them i find helpful for the pain and stiffness. I dont wanna do harm to my body if it is not going to take away my disturbing symptoms. I just need your opinion on which drug worked for you best?

Is there any connection between ankylosing spondylitis and hypothyroidism?
I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis a few years ago. Last summer I was training for a triathlon and eating very carefully healthy. I started gaining weight and sleeping all of the time. I first thought it was because I was working out so hard and I must be gaining " muscle weight" but, I kept gaining. I have always had dry skin and hair but they became extremely dry, in addition, I began swelling, having muscle aches, became cold all the time and began having hand tremors. I have no insurance but have done a bit of research online and am thinking that the symptoms point to hypothyroidism. I have been looking into homeopathic treatment due to lack of medical care. I really was curious if having AS puts one at a risk for hypothyroidism or if there was a link of some kind.
Why do so few posts mention eliminating nightshades to reduce the "flares" of ankylosing spondylitis?
Why do so few posts mention eliminating nightshades potato, tomato, eggplant, beansprouts and peppers as a non invasive way of reducing the effects of ankylosing spondylitis? Further, why are anti inflamitory foods so rarely mentioned? Combining the two " treatments" has made the difference between existing and liveing for me.

Ankylosing spondylitis: Why does stretching in one direction cause agitation and the other doesn't?
I have ankylosing spondylitis.I noticed that whenever I bend my back backwards, back of head backwards it inflames my back and I find it quite painful for quite a while afterwards and stiff. If I bend the opposite way forwards , it relieves this inflamation and stiffness, and never inflames. Why is this?

cause up north a doctor told my husband that he had ankylosing spondylitis and now that we moved down to the lower part of the state they say he doesn't do they do a x ray to find it or a MRI cause the doctor say's it the x ray...please help??
