My mum had 2 aneurysms 7 yrs ago - am I likely to?
It was an immediate onset situation, she became nauseous all of a sudden and was vomiting, had an extreme headache and could not open her eyes to see, so you can imagine what horrendous pain she was in. Thankfully we were able to get them 'coiled' after she was hopitalised and she has been ok since, but I am wondering whether I should be worried for my own health, and whether it is likely that I could have an aneurysm because of having them in my genetic history?

Are aneurysms rare at age 20?

Are brain aneurysms hereditary?

Can an individual have two abdominal aneurysms?
My grandmother has an abdominal aneurysm its 3.1cm and the doctor has been watching it. My grandmother has an ultrasound twice a year. Six months ago the doctor told my grandmother it shrank and they ll do another one in 6 months.. In December 2011 my grandmother had another Ultrasound and the doctor said everything is ok.Yesterday March 5 ,my grandmother went to the doctor and the doctor was busy with another patient who was not doing well. Anyway, grandmother saw the physician assistant and she told grandmother she had two aneurysms one was under her ribcage and he other was lower in abdomen tummy My grandmother and mother have been crying and calling me and I have been worrying, crying and trying to calm them down. I live out of town and so i can come home to be with them. I am so confused and do not know what to say or do for them . Is it possible for someone to have 2 aneurysms?I can not talk to the doctor because of the hip pa law sp could someone help me?? Please serious answers onlyI forgot to mention her aneurysm are 3cm and the doctor told my grandmother they do not operate until there 5cm. I wish they would operate and she's very financially secure.

How come more men than women have aortic aneurysms?

Abdominal aortic aneurysm?
Hi, I am 22 years old and have been dealing with abdominal and chest pain for 6 months now. It seems as though the general pain comes and goes in both areas becoming a little more persistent as of late. My last doctors visit consisted of feeling and applying pressure on my abdomen. When the pressure was applied wide of the center of me, there was not pain. However, the second the doctor pushed on the center of my abdomen below or above my naval, i winced from how tender it was. This caught his attention and he also noted a strong pulse in my naval. He told me that he was going to order an ultrasound be done to check for an aortic problem. However he said that the pulsating could be from me being quite skinny and not having much belly fat. I am very concerned because i am a smoker and do not get my ultrasound for another week. does anyone feel like i am in danger of not making it another 7 days? i am very worried because a moron could diagnose my symptoms besides being 22 but i am reading that nurses are finding more and more young adults with aortic aneurysms. Does being younger help prevent rupture or is rupture possibility all the same once you have pain and pulsation? I would love to hear other peoples stories and symptoms

Can you get an aneurysm from working in front of the computer for too long?
I spend quite a few hours on the computer a day and I've heard of a couple of people that died from aneurysms, and they were in front of the computer frequently.

Can they tell if you have a brain aneurysm threw a scan?
im planning on going to see a neurologist about my headaches, im on birth control loestrin 24 and ive been on it for like 3 years but recently ive been having headaches and migraines so i went to my primary physician and she gave me naproxen so ive been taking that everyday to prevent a migraine but im still getting that slight headache feeling, so im thinking its the birth control causing it and i just recently found out that birth control can cause aneurysms, so now im freaking out that i have one or a brain tumor so im hoping they scan my brain to at least ease my mind but i was curious if they can see an aneurysm on a scan, and if they can, can they remove it?, im a 21 yr old female, i dont have any other symptoms that an aneurysm would cause i.e. memory loss, vision loss, loss of balance etc. only thing i have is headaches

Posting for My Mom Regarding Her Clipped Brain Aneurysms and Balance Issues?
Hi Everyone I am posting for my mom. I had a brain aneurysm rupture that was clipped in June 1996. Then in 2009, we found out accidentally that my mom had multiple brain aneurysms. None ruptured, by she did have brain surgery to have them clipped.Recently, my mom who is now 68 has been having serious issues with her balance. She also says she has been feeling faint and or feeling like she wants to pass out. She said she's constantly stumbling and or falling, and is unable to catch her fall. She also says that she has trouble with putting things up on high shelves, etc. without it affecting her balance. When she went to her regular doctor, he said that it's an affect from her surgery, and something she's just going to have to " live with." She had her surgery almost 3 years ago, and her balance issues just started fairly recently. I told her that she needs to see her neurologist and or neurosurgeon someone who knows about brain aneurysms.Any advice you guys can give me to pass on to her, I'd greatly appreciate it Thanks so much

Will I Die in my sleep? Teen with Tumor or Aneurysm?
Hello, I am 17 Hispanic Male and for the past few months I have been dealing with hypochondria fear of having every disease . Due to that, my sleep cycle, stress, and blood pressure went up. My blood pressure is back to normal though, it would only go up a tadwhen I had anxiety attacks. I would never get headaches before and since my anxiety began I started experiencing headaches mild , short eye pain one second , semi bluriness, and when I sleep, I feel myself going from a light sleep to a deep sleep right away. It is such a big transition that it startles me and I wake up. Is all of this due to my hypochondria anxiety stress and lack of sleep? & how common are aneurysms in teens?
