Is it possible to always be in mild anaphylactic shock?
Now, I'm allergic to alcohol. Most ones just give me a skin rash, but in some cases, it can result in hives and my anaphylactic shock. From what I'm noticing my throat always seems to be somewhat constricted. Even when I'm lying down, if I tilt my head in a certain way I feel as though I cannot swallow. What does this mean?

Is it possible to have PTSD from experiencing anaphylactic shock?
Two years ago I had a drawn out experience of my body shutting down from an allergic reaction to antibiotics. It was a big dramatic scene, and it ended with me sitting alone in the emergency room waiting room, losing consciousness, unable to breathe, walk, etc., for what seemed like quite a long time was probably about 40 60 minutes in reality . Since then, up until about 6 months ago, I've had to occasionally take a small dose of lorazepam for difficulty breathing and anxiety. Just when I thought I had finally gotten over this, last week I had a mild allergic reaction to a contrast i.v. for a cat scan, and I broke down in a full fledged half hour long anxiety attack.I'm definitely not over this " near death experience" , even though I'm healthy now and this was 2 years ago.And docs out there with some advice? It would of course be REALLY appreciated

Those are my only symptoms otherwise I'm pretty normal... but I'm so terrified that my throat might close or something...Is it possible that I'll go into anaphylactic shock?

Was this mild anaphylactic shock?
I haven't been allergic to dogs as far as I'm aware for 17 years of my life. However, 2 months ago I had two small hives on my arm after playing with a rottweiler, I ignored it as being dust or something. However, for the past two weeks when playing with a labrador, I kept coming up in hives, only one or two and still ignored it.Today, I came home with two hives on my arm, and then a couple appeared on my face, in the course of 20 minutes I became very flushed, but pale. My skin was covered in red prick like spots, and my throat felt as if i had something in it. I became very weak and exceedingly drowsy. 20 minutes after, I took an antihistamine, and slowly they symptoms faded. Should I see my GP or just take antihistamines? I'm worried next time the allergic reaction could be more severe.

Are these symptoms considered Anaphylactic Shock from Adderall OVERDOSING?
I ingested a 30 mg orange adderall salt capsule orally at 11 00 a.m. before an exam at 1 00 to get some quality study time in. After my exam on my drive back to my apartment at 2 00 p.m. I decided to stupidly take another 60 mg, two 30 mg salt capsules. Equating to 90 mg of adderall salts in less than 3 hours. I have NEVER done this before and I did NOT take into consideration the serious side effects from accompanying such a high dosage together. This is my story about what happened after taking 90 mg adderall in such a short amount of time please inform me of what you believe these medical effects to be a symptom of, my initial thought was an OVERDOSE I was hoping for extra " motivation" for starting and completing a study guide for my next exam at 5 30. When I got home, I had to print something from my business center lab in my apartment complex, so I jogged across the street to the business center and printed what I needed to print, and jogged back to my apartment. I unlocked my door, put my keys down and set up my little station to start completing my study guide for my next exam. Next thing I know, my lower legs started itching rapidly so I took my skinny jeans off to notice a few inflammed dots on my lower leg just my right one and a few of the same dots on my ankles and feet. Accumulatively there were 7 dots on my right leg and three dots on my left foot inner ankle. The itchiest little dots I've ever freaking had, and I assumed that the night before last I must've gotten a few bug bites from the humidity so I didn't think anything of it but I stopped itching them because " you should never scratch something that itches" from the wise words of my boyfriend. So, I left them alone and continued my study guide. It was 3 15 when I first sat down in my apartment and I was keeping a close eye on the clock to ensure my time management was proper for completing this study guide so I could actually STUDY it when I was done and by 4 30 I was finished, happily. Excited to have finished the guide in ample time, I got to school early to review it in the classroom before taking the exam. I always find it more studious to sit at my desk with my study materials so I can remember visually what I studied before taking the exam. Well, as I was sitting there I glanced down at my legs and feet and noticed a dramatic color change in my skin. I was cyanotic, my hands were purple and flushed white and my legs and feet were the exact same. Purple pigments all across my thighs and my feet. I then started to notice a faint red rash blazing across my skin, first noticing it on my arms and then my legs as well.My skin started tingling, like I had little needles pinning my everywhere, except for my face. I finished my exam, but I was the last one to leave and when my professor saw that I was examining my body paranoia started to kick in ...he gave me a wonderous look as to what I was doing. I nonchalantly said, " I must be cold, because my skin is looking purple today, subtle nervous laugh " and he was like, " Yeah, this building is always cold" . So then I turned in my exam and headed to my car. I started to feel faint, as if I was going to pass out and started noticing my skin tingling even worse and when I got home I just sat down immediately and tried to focus on my breathing. I tried to do some school work because I knew having taken that much adderall I must be able to focus on something studious. But when I tried looking at my computer screen or text book, the words were wavy and hard to center my attention on. I didn't want to strain my eyes so I just smoked a bowl of weed to see if my nerves would calm down.I laid down to sleep, purposefully with my mouth open so I could really feel the breathing in and out, in and out. I also wanted to make sure that if I felt my throat becoming tight that I would tell my boyfriend to rush me to the hospital, but I feel asleep, paranoid, eventually and thankfully didn't really " fall asleep" forever. When I woke up in the morning, I noticed my equilibrium was really, REALLY off. I went to stand up in the shower and fell to the side and started seeing splattered white dots everywhere. So I sat down and put the water on cold to see if maybe the heat was just messing with me. Considering I'm hypoglycemic, sometimes when I stand in too hot of a shower, I see the same little white dots, but it's usually before I pass out. So that's why I sat down and turned down the water temperature. When I got out of the shower I noticed my vision was blurry. Blurrier than usual, not considerably double vision but definitely a flawed change from my normal day to day vision. I looked up symptoms of adderall overdose and anaphylactic shock, and this is what I believe happened to me. Are these symptoms considered overdosing or did I experience an un seeked medical emergency of anaphylactic shock

Anaphylactic shocks and the use of EpiPens?
Hi all,I hope there is someone who can help me about anaphylactic shocks and the use of EpiPens? I am doing a story which would involve me in knowing the facts about this, as I want it to be a beliveable as possible. First of all, the character develops a sudden sever reaction to Penicillin, which was mild as a child, only skin reaction. Can this really happen? Secondly, when the actual anaphylactic shocks starts to happen, can this take a few minutes before the symptoms start? Thirdly, Can someone administer the EpiPen incorrectly? Fourth, Can there be any complications after the epipen has been given? Even hours afterwards? Fifth, Am I right in saying that it affects the immune system and you can become weak? Would you need to be put on a drip? Sixth and final question, Is there any reason to have to stay in hospital? Are there tests that need to be done? Do you need to recover at home afterwards?Sorry for the many questions, but I am grateful for any answers, any other information about it or personal experiences.
