He has a small spot in his right kidney, one on his pelvic lymph node, and on his adrenal gland not sure if any of them are canceris yet or not. The one on his lung is 10cmx10cmx9cm. He is currently taking radiation 5 days a week 10 min treatments for at least 6 8 weeks.
I need help finding something toxic to colon adenocarcinoma cells.?
I'm doing a research project on colon cancer and I am trying to find a protein or chemical that is toxic to colon adenocarcinoma cells. It would preferably leave regular colon cells unaffected, or at least would only have a minimal effect on regular cells if it did not, it would kill cancer cells but also kill all of the healthy cells in the colon, defeating the whole purpose. If you find an article about the toxin and its effects it would be greatly appreciated if you could put the link in your response. Thank you very much.

What is the long term prognosis for metastatic rectal adenocarcinoma (lung and liver)?
I'd like to thank you all in advance for taking the time to read this Q and just help me understand what i may have to expect. My father was diagnosed with colorectal cancer about three years ago for which he had to have an op and have a colostomy bag. this has subsequently been reversed and I thought everything was back to normal as his health was good. In the last 4 weeks he has presented with the above and has started to undergo a 12 session course of the required chemotherapy has had his second one only today . I have been told that once the word 'metastatic' is used then that indicates its of an aggressive nature and the prognosis is not good and that there is no 'staging' for a secondary cancer. is this true? I have yet to converse with his doctors but hope to do so when he next goes in. Given that it is in both his lungs and liver cannot be a good sign for sure but has anyone had similar experiences of relatives friends surviving this type of secondary cancer? my father is 64 and although not in the greatest of shape he's certainly not one to sit around all day. He's never in the house Please can anyone shed some Layman's terms on the matter. I have been trawling through the internet but that's not too healthy all the time I am quite familiar with all the scientific terminology as i work in the research science industry....Cancer in particular...BUT before you all say why dont i ask someone i work with ......they're not medically qualified Doctors of Cancer, just the clever bods behind all the Research of Cancer Thanking you all again for taking the time to read thisSunny

My dad has metastasis adenocarcinoma on the jejunom on the small intestine. Is this very serious. How can we treat this? Is this cure able? The polyp found is 5x8x7 mm. Is that big?He is 67, can he endure the treatment?Thanks.He is said to be in stage four.. the doc said the part of the jejunum where they took during surgery was just a spread, like theres a mother cancer which is in his stomach.. it sux.

I am a 54 year old male and I need some information about anybody out there who has adenocarcinoma which is cancer in the small intestines. I am in and out of the hospital because of the blockage in the intestines and I cannot eat and can barley drink fluids. I just found out from my doctor I have less than a year to live and I believe that there has to be something or someone out there that can help me. Thank you.
