I have a class III underbite, macroglossia, large feet, and excessive perspiration. It all matches perfectly with acromegaly except for I'm only 5'5" . I'm a 16 year old girl, and I'm getting surgery for the underbite this christmas, but that won't do anything for my tongue macroglossia .Do I have acromegaly or something else?

i have a decent sized handful of symptoms that point to acromegaly. the problem is that my glucose tolerance test take blood every half hour & drink a glucose drink came back inconclusive. this is not uncommon & sometimes what happens is the patient gets passed around from this to that doctor doing all kinds of tests & sometimes years go by before its finally " officially" detected. i want to avoid this so my question is can anyone point me to an EXPERIENCED specialist or regional center who deals with this disorder. thanks & have a happy new year
Weight loss and acromegaly?
I was diagnosed with acromegaly a year ago and my question is can i lose weight with acromegaly? i am 22 yrs old 220 lbs 16 % body fat. I have been working out, hard, for 6 months and the scale won't budge. I defiantly feel the extra weight, before all of this i was at most 180 lbs. I would just like to lose 20 pounds so i can move without feeling pain. Can i lose any weight with this disease? is my body just stuck at 220 no matter what i do? I have had two surgeries and radiation treatment to take care of the pituitary tumor. Can I lose any weight with 16 % body fat? Is my body still reacting to the attack it's been under? Please help.

occur spontaneously. My face suddenly swelled up one day, and ever since my facial bones increased, now have a protruding mandible and high cheekbones. Occured too fast to be natural.occur instantaneously? My face swelled up one day like it was filled with liquid. After a few days the swelling subsided but I realised that my cheekbones have increased dramatically and jaws protruded a lot. Happened to fast to be natural growth. my symptoms which have been going on for more or less a year include brain fog, attention cognitive problems, depression, joint stiffness, jaw cracking popping, fatigue, and more simliar symptom. the only thing they have found on numerous tests was a benign pituitary cyst. these cysts can produce hormones that can cause numerous symptoms and things like acromegaly. however, my hormone tests including growth hormone came up normal. i am also on adderall to deal with my nuerological symptoms, would this med affect my hormones. should i ask for a retest?
